Please put PotD 101-200 in the duty finder for 3.5

I would also like for it to be in df, or the option there anyhow. This way one could decide if they go in as pre-formed or wing it with randoms.
If you choose the df method and wipe that is on you :)

This thread is fun, people against potd in df arguments looks like "trust me, i know whats better for you" , if they let matched party whats going to change for you?
As any duty if you choose to do df you are aware that maybe bad players in your party, so if you are already doing with a pre made, whats going to change for u?
Or the worries are that "n00b casuals" may get the (meh) mount?
I just wonder they spent resources in making something that only gives a mount so maybe 10% (being very generous) of the players do....it seems poor decision making by the devs

Ofc nothing as to change when it comes to my very personal experience. But my personal experience doesnt matter and neither does yours.
Here is the thing I'm worried about though: Content that is in the DF has to be suited for the DF. Meaning: It has to be easy enough that you can clear it with pugs (even if some of them might not really know what they're doing - just ask yourself for a second how often you meet really, really bad players in dungeons and still manage to finish the run easly?).
Potd is now special in the regard that it doesnt allow wipes - and again, it doesnt matter if YOU dont mind having your savefile ruined by pugs or if I dont have to take that risk; it matters that people will finally complain about this and they're going to nerf the content. And I'd prefer not to see content nerfed again because someone stomps like a little child and claims "But I want!"

So, yes, my experience will be influenced by this because the devs have a history for making content easier and easier. Keeping it "gated" like this, allows the challenge to stay (and mind you: you CAN do this content, you can go in alone - if you dont mind wipes and fails, that is...)

But until then I'd like to remind everyone that each time they put the Coils into the DF they nerfed certain mechanics - often challenging ones. That they nerfed some of the more... "difficult" dungeons (Bye, bye Pharos!), The Stepy of Fate... etc. etc. etc. And that they did that because people were either complaining or couldnt clear it. If we have to keep content "gated" (again: you dont even need 3 other people; you can go in with as many as you want) like this to keep DF-pugs and nerfs out, I'll gladly take those gates.

Or do you actually mean that people who want this in DF are wanting that because of the pony?

I couldnt care less about that mount when I say that putting this into DF will mean "nerfs incoming" and that I dont want that...

Oh and I also dont claim to know whats best for "you" (as in a general you), I dont even really care about that either - I care about whats best for the content and that is: Keeping it out of DF so it can be a challenge

First of all: Who cares about the Mount? If you get it you get it and if not you can buy it in the MB.
Second: What keeps the players you are calling "n00b casuals" from getting 3 other people together to do the floors like SE wanted them to do?

And don't tell me a casual player isn't able to open a PF or asking in LS, FC or in his FL.

Opening it to the DF would force SE to nerf it already because you can't wipe a single time and it will happen in DF because you will probably not get a partycomposition to manage the higher floors in DF and you will get people in there who are not even on +60 with their weapons and their armor which will make these floors harder. Imagine how people will rage over that alone.

I don't agree. You need a nice party make up to get to floor 200. And skilled players who know about their job and how mechanics work in this game. I highly doubt a pug would make it to the top. We died on 198 due to a minor mistake.... As someone posted, before it was around 8 hours.

Not sure where you got that idea. I, personally, do POTD because it's challenging 4-man content. Nowhere else in the game can you find that. DF for 101+ would, like Vidu explained, cause nerfs from people crying "too hard." The rewards are nice, sure, but that's not the main reason for anyone I know, at least.

POTD is one of the few things where I think, challenge-wise, SE got it absolutely on point. You can brain-afk to maybe floor 180, but from there on, everyone really needs to be paying attention, as a single mistake can end it there and then.

If they open it up to df, the floodgates of people calling for nerfs will no doubt open, and that would be a real shame. You can argue it being in df would have absolutely no impact on those of us that already run it in fixed party, and that is true, but it is the nerfs called for afterwards that would. As someone above said, is it really so hard to get three friends (three?!) and go in if you so wish

imo this content exists ONLY for the challenge of actually doing it. If you want the mount, they can be got from 150 onwards, and 150-180 is still just regular trash mobs

Yeah SE should leave it how it is. It's one of the very few things that they got 100% right.

It takes my group a long time to make it to 200. Anywhere from 4-8 hrs depending. It's balanced just right and the challenge is perfect. The last thing I'd want to see is this going in the df and the nightmare stories every day and the demand for nerfs. It takes a lot of skill and solid coordination to make it to floor 200 and one of the few things I enjoy. Please don't change this content, its fine as is. :(
