PLEASE have some sort of balance in PotD? Introduce some sort of checkpoint system.

My problem is the forced fixed party system. Even FFXI wasn't that stupid most of the time. There's a difference between 'challenge' and 'stupid'. If SE is determined to have this operate without Duty Finder, fine, but let us change members freely every 10 floors. People pop in the purgatory room anyway, and the pool of people to go on with or invite will be drawn from those who still have a 0 count. Simple. Done. Like if you were fighting Kirin in Sky and someone bails, you can still go shout for a replacement. It doesn't change the fact you were gunna be up there all night for the fight...

I see, well I don't think SE can because let's be honest, if they took away the Disconnects not counting rule, people would just abuse it, "yo guys, we about to wipe, pull the plug, quick!"

as for the fixed party, i think i would be enraged if i got to a 150+ with a random group of people who ended up wiping you because they aren't paying attention. i Think yoshi knew people wouldn't always want to do this with random people and not just a trusted team.

This might work if you're willing to reset your pomanders and score. Sucks for the person who had to bail though. Maybe they didn't want to reset, but you're kind of forcing it onto them.

You could prevent the batteries dying on a Gameboy so the fault is entirely on you in that situation, you can't prevent a game from freezing, your house dropping off the power grid, a system error from randomly popping up, or even glitches from happening that can cause death.

Look, the OP was commenting about WIPING, not dc'ing, wiping. So they full and well took that blow and didn't know that it would reset them back to a brand new saving at F51. Yes, it works IF you wipe TO NORMAL circumstances, there is a flaw with how they designed it that puts players at fault for situations that aren't normal. Resetting progress due to outside interference that forces a player out of the game is bad game design, that's like your boss firing you because you called in due to the fact your car got hit by Thor falling out of the sky and slamming Mjolnir right through your windshield breaking your neck.

I think this might be more doa content, simply because its so restricting.

They did no matched parties because it's difficult content (same as savage not being in the duty finder) but the I cant see people wanting to start from 51 if they wipe. Plus the lack of rewards, the item you get can be exchanged for an outdoor furnishing, which the majority of the population cant use, or some earings....

One reason people are wanting the level/story skip potions is so new players can join their friends in endgame content....

With this being 'endgame' tiered content, isn't it a good thing if they could join in earlier, and play the 'endgame' stuff with their friends?

The game works on an automated system, if you get fired because of that, that's because of your boss, who isn't an automated system as far as I know.

While PotD above floors 100 is very hardcore in a sense of time consumption vs reward and doability it is currently the only thing in this game that remotely reminds me of the good old hardcore final fantasy with those crazy endgame dungeons and bosses.

95% of this game's content is super casual, its nice to have something being actually hard for a change, making it have checkpoints will negate any difficulty.

If 101+ is supposed to be the "Savage" content, then how is requiring floors 1+/51+ going to make floors 101+ any easier to clear?Honestly. Savage itself doesnt require you to clear the entire RAID in 1 sitting without a single wipe. As I said before, enjoy doing A1-A8 because someone dun goof'd in A10-A12 (or Coil if people even still do that). Lets make Savage the same as this Savage content.

So what if that newbie sprout joined with some friends, they get to 30-40 through palace and they decide to try floors 101+ and actually clear it? did those sprouts just complete "Savage" content? would you instantly grab them for your static?
Bringing them up wasn't an "excuse". It was a point that if you want it to be "savage" content, that would be the new "entry level". If it does require 60 to enter floor 101+ though, than that point is moot.

Also you fail to see how less "optional" things become when people shun you based on your level or experience. And EXP is hardly the only "Reward" someone would be interested in as a sprout. Most new players I know are more interested in the stuff. If you guys that already cleared it are rubbing a nightmare pegasus in their face, they're gonna wanna earn it, too.

So I have to ask, again, How is making said floors actually accessible for more people make the floors themselves any easier? Because I don't understand the train of logic there.

Assuming it takes an average of ~20minutes each set of 10 floors, we're looks at ~100 minutes(an hour and a half) on content that ISNT "savage" just to get back to the door?
Do we need to add "doing every roulette" to the list of things you need to clear EVERY TIME after a wipe in A10s-A12s?

Because thats the crux of the discussion here. not the difficulty of the floors

Well, I don't even need to do a serious response when the person I am having a discussion with is going to reply with this, lol.

I think the new floors is a nice alternative content wise for those who are unable to get into static groups to try Savage and what not.
Of course Savage you get gear and such but Palace is just different is all
