Thank you for making yet another thread about something we already have 50 threads on. I'm sure the dev team is totally unaware of this problem and it was this one thread that made them aware of it.

I see your point, and I think the CIA did the same thing when they introduced crack cocaine to urban centers across this country. Powerleveling, crack, they are the same thing. Intensely and physically addictive after a very short time of use.
Thee words: FFXIV methadone clinics.
Even if they remove power leveling at this point..... imagine the withdrawal symptoms.
The only way to gets things like this fixed *is* for people to take advantage of it and bring to light the issue. You can say, "Well, I don't know where you'd find people to do it" or "You shouldn't do it, it's unfair!" but you're ignoring the real issue: OP isn't screwing over people, Square Enix is. Square Enix said, "Sure, go nuts, this is the system we made, we know how it works, and this is allowed."
If anything, OP did you all a favor by collecting concrete data on this, that we can show SE and say, "See what your system is allowing?" and maybe cause them to re-evaluate it.
And if you support PLing anyway, why do you care? You should again thank OP, this is exactly the sort of data that should thrill you, proof PLing works to an absurd degree!
We are an endgame group, our goal is to advance the ls as fast as possible.
Atm this is the optimal form of leveling, and the producer OKed it as being fair game (aka not an exploit). So we are going to take advantage of it until it is changes.
But everyone in the group knows what the outcome will probably be if nothing is done. We will get everyone geared, people will have to wait for content and people will stop logging on and playing. <= this is the issue.
Other linkshells not going at it as hardcore will see this slower, but the same thing will happen.
The game does not have an endgame large enough to support a game with 80+% of the population at endgame.
For a real life example: If you could make $40/hr for sleeping at night or you could make $20/hr working in heavy construction somewhere. Which one would you choose, which one would you do more often if you could only choose 1? This game is the same thing, 1 is compelte bs and takes no effort at all... but it is more rewarding then the hardwork is. AKA all rewards and no work (SOMETHING THAT IS A MAJOR ISSUE IN MMOS NOW DAYS)
Bring back fatigue system ! ! !
