Wow we are really clutching at straws aren't we :P
To be fair, people have been clutching at straws since the ending of 3.0 because there isn't much to speculate on besides Thordan's last vision and the Warrior of Darkness...
... apropos of nothing, I went back beyond the fourth wall and if you talk to Yoshi-P again he suggests they want to put Samurai and Red Mage in 4.0...
PLEASE LOOK FORWARD TO IT™
I don't know, I think there is a bit. There are certainly a lot of plot threads in motion.
- Nature of the Gnath Onemind.
- Direction the Dragonsong war will take and how the current surviving Celestial Dragons might play a part.
- The apparent changes hinted at in Eorzea's militaries as hinted at in various Job quest lines.
- The obvious Eikon vs Primal definitions.
- Truth behind the origins of the Bismarck myth and how it is shared by two very different cultures in two very different places.
- Fate of the missing Scions.
- The potential impact of the empire's incursion into Azys lla. What the empire might get their hands on.
- Implications of the legends involving the Moogle histories. Ever consider what effect a massive floating landmass would have on the lands below?
- Estenien's fate and how we might save him/what impact Estinien being in there might have on Nidhogg.
- Why there are what looks like Allagan structures in the Aery.
- Frankly the rather odd nature of Draconic physiology. Apart from the simple number of variations we have on dragons (though some seem to be hinted at being the results of Allag experiments) just draconic essense is enough to turn people into dragons. Its almost like the Aetheric poisoning we see in Sastasha HM. Clearly they aren't simply big lizards.
- The fact there are multiple Crystals of Light and what that might imply.
I'm sure there are more.
Still, I admit I can't guess exactly where things will go from here. That's as much because there is so much on the table rather than there not being enough.
All true, but most are minutiae that don't directly affect the story moving forward; or, we don't have much information to base theories on.
The most pressing issues (as I see them) are
1. What is Nidhogg going to do now?
1a. Can we save Estinien?
and
2. What's up with the Warrior of Darkness?
The rest aren't too important, or there's not enough information to form a theory. Darksteel Foil Hats on, folks! (Also, I believe the 14 Hour Anniversary Broadcast cleared up that eikons and Primals are the same thing, despite what Unukalhai said. Perhaps the Warring Triad are simply Elder Primals like Odin?)
Is there different dialog for legacy players?
Kazutoyo Maehiro: Aeka, it's you! I'm Maehiro, the main scenario writer. I'd been hoping to meet you since before the Calamity!
Sorry I've been lurking in the forum for a while now and haven't made a post. I figured nows a good a time as any!
I sat in the 18th floor for a while, looking at the non-targetable npcs to see what they say. Among other things I believe the bomb and behemoth is the red herring. I followed the little magicked broom around the area and figured out it only has 2 lines. The first reads: 'Emit PND-ammo ct xet.' Which is 'Text Command ptime.' FLIPPED.
The other line it says is 'Flipp'er over, flip flip!' Now I'm not sure if it's a line talking about its apparent gibberish line that you need to flip. But I figured I'd put it out there! With all of the ff6 references out there though, it made me wonder if it was talking about Suplex, (a move Sabin uses that flips the enemy upside down) and a 'certain' boss where Suplex is the main strategy.
In short, I think it's doomtrain.
It's not exactly a spoiler, but I was interested in the conversation with Koji Fox, which seems a rather direct tie to a pretty important issue...
Of course, I'm sure he's also just toying with us...Quote:
