Your mistaken, Your opinions that you don't agree are valid. Of Course. However the way you approached them by calling me a whiner and hassing me? Why would you say that so someone you don't know.

Your not a creative person because of the way you carry yourself and your replies. Its obvious to people in that field. Its not because I disagree with you. It is just, that much apparent you lack the understanding of the creative process my friend. No offense of course. If SE see's this thread and I hope they do, they will understand that I am just frustrated and see the critisim as it is. They wont be offended because they are used to critisim.

And as for not paying SE anything and how you think it isn't valid. We are all paying for SE's original mistake. That is why we are not being charged. It cost us our player base which hopefully with our new Devs who are doing mostly great work (with some hiccups) we will regain that on rerelease. Our comments help prevent another bad launch. You need to understand this.

As a designer I have a decent understanding on the games image and equity. I obviously do not know everything about it as im not in the loop as they are but I have a keen enough eye to see when something isn't right. It's like when i can tell when someones work is too warm or cool and how they need to correct their colors right off. It is just instinctive by now. Normal people wouldn't notice subtle changes or how to fix them or maybe even they would just be satisfied.

Also, Someone can put a ton of work into something and still have it come out wrong. Its about the end result. Your obviously not a creative person and do not understand critisim as I've laid it out for people to see. It isn't just a rant or a hate post, there are valid opinion there, show me yours please.

I could've writen the very same post if my pur engrish allowed me =P It's easy to see people not being able to distiguish techinical comments than random whin when most o people here actually are ignorant regarding design, programing, modeling, database, etc...and by ignorant i mean "lack of knowledge" and not the pejorative term.

I dont love the pugilist design, but there is nothing wrong with the designs perse, and departing from realism is fine.

The Weapons
Based on the video most of us have seen I think that the new weapons are too bulky, tacky looking, and are out of place.

All of the weapons themselves are huge, fat, and clunky. It would appear that they seem from another game almost. When I saw them they made me think of WoW, Aion, and other games as such. It is almost of a Korean MMO design. I think they devalue the game's integrity because they just look cheap and unsophisticated.

It's as if the designers of the weapons couldn't think of anything better and just decided to settle for the sake of getting the Ifrit battle released on time.
"Oh we will just slap horns on everything and make them glow! Because it's Ifrit! It Must Be Horns!".

The worst of all the weapons for me would be the pugilist and archer weapons because they are so giant. The THM weapon looking like PS3 Move Controller or Phallic entity. They all just need more development time.

What are other people's thoughts on these items? When i ask other in game it seems i get like 75% negative feedback on them and then 25% of people actually like them.

Please reconsider these SE,
Especially this coming from a Pugilist, we feel neglected.

There are no 'technical comments' in this post. There's nothing about programming, modeling, or databases. Just a lot of whining about how the OP doesn't agree with the way the items look, because it looks 'too Korean,' as if that's a valid complaint.

Or maybe you could point out the sophisticated, designer-helpful feedback that was in that post? 'cause, all I see is several sentences of whining and puling because SE designed some weapons that some people don't like.

How you fail to get anything from that furthers my stance of being part of the uncreative majority (creative being design people). Saying that they look too korean says a lot actually if your familiar with korean MMOs then you would absolutely understand where I am coming from. So I also assume now your not familiar with them. It is a totally valid comment.

Maybe I am using too many specific terms intended for people in the know. Which sometimes I am guilty of. I am of course talking to everyone and not just people in the correct areas. But I ask people try to understand before or ask questions. Within the frustration, as ive said, there are more than enough valid points.

Departing too much hurts the image of the product however some of them are decent looking. The LNC item would be my favorite because it at least has a figure to it and some newly shaped metal.

There is no consensus on design, there is no design that is intrinsicly better than another. If you are a designer, then you should know that design, aestetics and art varies to an insane amount. I would hope as someone who claims to be a designer, you would have some form of respect for other designers works. Juts because YOU dont like it doesnt mean its an inferior design. Also, stop hating on a whole culture of designers, its getting to be kind of annoying, all the people constantly trying to sterotype and hate on korean designers.

Why is it that you feel so free to make assumptions about people you don't even know?

I write for a living. Do you consider that to be creative? Would you like me to come back atcha with some helpful criticism as to how you could improve your writing skills (which, frankly, seem to be a little lacking)? Would you feel pretty good about that sort of feedback? It's the equivalent of what you are doing here.

I am quite familiar with Korean MMO's, thank you very much. I just don't have a problem with them the way that you seem to. It's a video game, man. Not reality. The fact that some things look more unrealistic than others is to be expected, not something to pitch a fit over.

I have little doubt that I've been playing games since before you were born... we didn't used to have the luxury of bitching at devs because we don't like the way one weapon looks. You suck it up and move on. Maybe that's why I think you're being rude here.
