give the current players a time sink....Post your ideas for what SE could implement

I remember playing Test Drive Unlimited 2 for hours and hours, then I downloaded the casino add-on, from that point on I spent DAYS sitting around playing poker against other people. I had no idea how to play poker before then, but I made millions, and had completely forgotten that first and foremost I was playing a racing game.

Put Triple Triad in, and I may never leave the Adventurer's Guild ever again... :D

You have some great suggestion but... you haven't even got to 50 yet... although i would love some timed nm ... and according to se i don't see that coming ;/... i'll probably quit if they dont plan on having Timed nm with low rate drop and challenging battle.... still if ps3 come out and they start charging if there no timed nm i'll probably quit!

I imagine a lot of the time will be spent farming company seals after this patch, so i don't really see much need of additional ones.

A casino or something might be a good idea.

Would like to see tiered NMs like Sky, Sea, or ZNM in FFXI make an appearance. Something that isn't on lockout that you can get the pop items by yourself or with a couple members of your ls, and when you have all the items a more difficult NM you need a full party for.

Hmm....what could possibly be a better time sink than the materia system?

I like how in these forums if someone doesn't agree with another player's idea of fun it's automatically wrong.

I would like some time sinks, not drastic ones like waiting for a party in XI. We have leves for that. But I don't like that we get to pick to allow our airships to be instant. That right there makes no freaking sense. We're getting chocobos to cover short distances on foot so players aren't hopping from crystal to crystal, why implement more instant travel?

I'd like to see them make use of the boat, and have a wait like a random encounter. Pirates, Kraken, stuff like that.

Everyone seems to want hard content but no one is willing to sacrifice a little risk for it. I'm all for overworld NM's that are 'random' as long as they're at least once a day, or at least under certain circumstances we can guess with 80-90% certainty on.
Like watching NPC's that deliver the news on the weather. It's fun in the end once you get to the mob, isn't entirely random as long as you put in some extra work, and is also a time sink.

yeah this is just a list of "ideas' not do or dies as are most other threads for game additions.

Well, I'm more of a casual player in this game, so for me, the crafting system is a huge and boring "time sink" also, having to walk immense distances to complete one quest, takes away a lot of time...

I don't mind having time sinks but I just hope they add stuff that's actually fun to do. (If they add any)
