I'm feeling similarly.... I've too many alts, now, as is.... and anchored to Couerl. I wouldn't be a very reliable group-RPer, even though I've interest in seeing what it's like to RP using FFXIV in particular as a medium ._.

What if we got a kickline of taru popotos to dance for you and make you cookies? :O
Personally, as a role player, I have exactly three macros that have absolutely nothing to do with RP. It is literally just flavor text for my Dragoons three limit breaks.
Lb1 = terminus pride
Lb2 = savage wolf fury
lb3 = bunshin soutenha
This has less to do with RP and more to do with me being a massive Tales of whore.
Honestly, if you're afraid of 'RP' macros in duty, please realize that being on a different server will not "protect" you from this while using DF. You might get paired with an "***hole" like me.
Not everyone likes to have their chat box spammed with RP when they go to a public area. If people do it in private or keep it to linkshells I don't care, but in /say, no thank you. That would be my concern more than macros. Luckily my server doesn't really have any.
Since this is really the only argument people have against RP in their servers, there is an incredibly easy solution to it. You are provided with a fourth, completely customizable chat filter. Go into settings, turn off the /say, custom emote, and maybe yell options. Name it "NO RP EVER". See RP happening around you? Switch to your new, RP-free channel. Boom, your chat is no longer "spammed".
EDIT:
Roleplay is when players create an entire history and story for their characters, and proceed to play it out with others in chat channels. You basically assign your character a personality, and have them interact with other characters with personalities. You can sort of think of it as a real-time pick your own adventure novel that you help write.Quote:
And I don't know any JP player who into RP, also I don't know what is the meaning of roleplay. Could someone explain it to me thanks
And how would this news affect login queues I wonder.
