Ahem
I still maintain this stance, on the category. None of the holiday quests are still in the Book, not the Little Ladies Day quests, not the Hatching-Tide quest and not the Moonfire Faire quests

Not having every single cutscene re-watchable adds impermanence and significance to experiences. If it was all watchable at anytime there would be no reason to watch any cutscene the first time. The whole point of seasonal, living world, etc is impermanence.
Anyone who played as a dragoon through HW would have noticed that even in voiced cutscenes people would refer to you as the Azure Dragoon you go back and use the unending journey and its the normal version of those scenes seems kind of a waste to be able to see those again.
Dunno if it's been said before, but any "low-quality" cutscene where it's just text dialog and simple emotes are not replayable for some reason. Only those that are better animated, has actual camera angles, or has voices are replayable. This leads to a LOT of dialog that's unable to be watched.
Good thing I was never a cutscene skipper since 1.0! Not only that, but the dialog from NPCs in the environment while you're questing also changes.
I agree with the crowd that's bummed at this. Got through the Amalja quests and finally defrosted Loonh Gah enough to where she took off her make. She had a pretty smile, but I was too slow on the screenshot button :(
Yeah. :( I want access to ALL cutscenes, of either type. It shouldn't be so hard to include them all. After all, they're already in the game, we just need the Unending Journey to link to them.
The Unending Journey already picks up your current appearance and gear. It's really weird for it not to use your current job in cases where it makes a difference in the scene.
If they got basic availability fixed, there are other improvements I'd like to suggest for the Unending Journey. For instance, it reiterates the description of the quest from the Quest Journal, but it would be nice to see where within that description the cutscenes appear. Perhaps an icon like the current "viewing cutscene" icon could appear in the quest description between the paragraphs where a scene actually occurs. It would just make it easier to review what happened in context.
It just seems a bit wrong to suggest cosmetic improvements like that when the basic functionality is missing so much.
? The part you quoted was about an icon display in the Unending Journey window, and had nothing to do with dialog.
As far as the dialog differences go, I agreed with you they should be selecting the dialog that fits your current job in cases where your job affects the dialog. I thought it strange that it doesn't do that already.
