Is it wrong for me to still laugh at this (common) mess up?

Didn't say it could. SS can't only be casted on yourself, either. E4E off tank, E4E a DPS who's going to be taking damage, etc. Tanks typically help their party members in other games, this one we just kind of stand there and mitigate damage. Would like to see both PLD and WAR get more tools to aid their party.
Seems no one's bothered to mention or consider the re-balancing that would have to take place on content and to Warrior (and soon Dark Knight) to even compensate for this.
Before WAR was rehashed, they tried to make it a tank that had a lot of self-heals. As a result, they sucked the fat one in content that even mattered. Giving PLD this boost in cures means WAR needs to be given something too. Sounds win-win, but bear in mind that whatever we ask for as PLD, needs to be made up for in other tank classes. The results may not always be pleasing.
Exactly! I tried powering up my mind attribute to overcome this but cure maxes out at a very small threshold of recovery. If you could cure yourself of half your hp in one cast, even if it took more mp, that would make the difference. Or, if they let paladins use raise during battle that would really be beneficial. Maybe they think allowing that would make paladins too powerful?
With the level increase going to 60 all classes will be getting new abilities .It would be a very opportune time to give all 3 of the tanks a Level 55 ability that does something unique but similar for each Tank class .The Dark Knight could get a HP syphon ability that drains all the mobs engaged and feeds it to the person they cast it on for a 450 heal and reduces all of the mobs H.P by 5% A Paladin could get a Direct heal of 450 for anyone but themselves and when they cast it they also get a defensive buff on them that absorbs 5% of incoming dmg. And Warrior could get a Mitigation that absorbs up to 450 damage on the person and also increases all if the warriors stats by 5% for 5 seconds .*Could also make each tanks level 60 ability be a group wide heal. So all tanks would have 1single target & 1group wide heal type ability .They should all be insta cast(if a tank is healing=bad stuff goin on) and have a very long cool down so would only be a last ditch effort once every 7 minutes.
I don't play PLD, but I thought a cure+stoneskin mix would be cool (something uniqueless PLD). Casts a "meh" cure, a "meth stoneskin", and maybe increases parry rate for a time. Maybe a "meh" regen too.
Or maybe have a "haymaker" type of skill, but instead of a counter, it heals the PLD for some amount and gives some other type of buff and/or debuff.
I'd pretty much go with another Oath that increases Cure's potency depending on how much STR you have but considerably increases the MP cost of Cure and disables normal MP regen. If you think about it, they have Riot Blade to get some MP back but majority is spent only on Flash.
Balance-wise, it will not be OP as Paladins aren't blessed with the MP pool to consistently heal themselves.
