Adding more tank classes will NOT make me play as tank or healer.

I tried doing tank (PLD, but I am also leveling WAR - because I need to see which Im more comfortable with), and I actually do healer, even if my main ais dps (and I agree queues are longer), but the fact that if I go in the DF as tank or healer (I am not very good (i got better slowly with practice), but hell I do try), and I get bashed for me losing aggro - no thank you (or for getting aggro as healer) so, if I actually do HAVE to tank, I do it when I know the party. And if I need to get a dungeon done as a DPS, thanks god I have friends who have multiple roles like me - so I find myself a tank or a healer or both from a FC or linkshel. But tanking for randoms? Too much stress... I did started as main tank... then I switched out - as I am first to admit I am not a really good tank, but I do try.

But still, even with my DPS I never got to wait 111 minutes, max it was 80 for CT because people kept withdrawing when it came up.

That's the only part that should be bolded. I tank for friends all the time regardless of what DPS they're coming as but if I ever queue solo for dungeons, most of the time I queue as BLM just to make sure there's an AOE dps in the party (also easy and relaxing). Having a tank class that I really like (pld and war are okay but I'm not crazy over them) would make me tank df dungeons more regardless of what dps I get (double brd or double mnks are ugh).

I don't count that towards this. We're talking about DF, not premades with FC/friends.

No tank/healer class they can add will make me queue in the DF as a tank/healer and a lot of other people feel the same. I know for a fact that I'm not alone in this.

thats not really a solution, when you need to go as DD, for nexus.
also most ppl suck at tanking/healing, and it would be detrimental to que as those, just to get faster que.
it just doesn't appeal to most ppl anyway.
Healing is really boring, and it makes me fall asleep, or i get really restless and agitated.
Tanking is just annoying, with micro-managing every mob, to keep hate; or boring with just spamming overpower.
They need to add more exciting tank/healer jobs; hopefully DRK will have some interesting mechanics, and ignite some interest in tanking.

In case you missed it, DRK has been confirmed as using 2h Swords, and is a TANK.

Maybe they should made some kind of quota or something. Like playing tank in 5 dungeons will put your on top of DPS dungeon queue priority for 1 dungeon.

What did you think this sentence was for? I already said that if I have a tank class that I truly love, I'd still tank a solo df queue regardless of what df dps I get.

You may not be the only one thinking that way but there's another group that thinks the other way. Having something that encourages a group of people to tank in DF that isn't your people is still adding more tanks in the df. Or is your opinion the only one that matters?

I don't think that sounds dumb at all. I think that sounds pretty good actually. Make the fast pass only acquirable only if you solo queue as a tank for dungeon roulette 5 times though.

I can actually throw this right back at you...

Kindly get into your head that some people won't queue as tanks in DF no matter how much they love the class because of the players themselves. Others like you, will queue... that's it.

The issue here is that people like you are a minority, not the majority.
