I don't say anything to anyone in a pug about their performance generally as since I don't know them and they don't know me, it's not likely to go anywhere good. For a static group however, these are people you hopefully look forward to doing stuff with week after week. Personally I'd just sit down and talk to him respectfully the way you'd want to be talked to if you had room to improve. If you know anyone of the same class who could give him pointers, that could also help. If he throws a fit and leaves, I hate to say it but you're probably better off.
