You don't really need more than LB2 for the first ghost. In fact, we usually don't have LB2, and only half our dps works on the ghost when it drops while the rest stay on Nael. It still melts down very fast.

I just don't know then... because, and i'm not exaggerating in the slightest, out of 15 attempts, we had lb3 by the first ghost maybe 3 times. 2 out of 3 of those times, people either died to something or got hit by something they weren't supposed to, and the raise/extra heals is what helped the LB.
On the bright side, we did perfectly execute in the final phase until a single thunder derp killed us all. But we spent the majority of the night trying to gamble with the limit break bar in phase 3 and it was incredibly deflating.
On sunday, we're gonna give dual tanks a try again (WAR with str acc).
Also, does your sch use selene for the entire fight?
Our SCH is typically on Eos. The extra healing lets both healers DPS more.
I have a fun anecdote with this. We've had a lot of troubles with our second Tank being flaky, and one week we pretty much had to find a rep. Our problem was that all our non-pickups where healers or DPS. So we decided to give solo tanking a shot.
After dealing with all the changes needed to deal with 3 Golems with 1 tank, we started regularly getting into the ghost again.. only to find out we where going slower. We where barely killing the Golems in time, and we where no longer anywhere near pushing Nael with 1 ghost. This kept happening across the night, until we finally decided to see just what exactly was going on.
Our Parsers weren't lying, we where doing less DPS with 5 DPS. The thing was that since our healers where now "tanking" the golems, their damage dropped to negible. Same thing happened during ghosts. They where too busy scrambling to keep me alive that they stopped attacking the ghost altogether. Our healers accounted for almost 300 DPS during the Ghost push phase. Together with what the OT usually provided (Around 150ish), the DPS had to make up for 450ish DPS. Our rep wasn't very well geared, so he was doing around 300. So we where missing a pretty good chunk of damage there.
In the end, we decided to just have someone swap to an i90 tank and went with it. We never really took the one tank method again because of that.
Only one healer should be "tanking". A DPS should be on the third golem.
Our strat, which has never once failed for months, is to have me, the solo tank, on green, our bard grabs red, and our white mage grabs blue. After the switch, I grab the white mage's, which is now red, and the bard holds the blue one, taking care of the earthshock silence. Scholar stays ready to just be a straight-up healer, but usually will go into cleric and toss me the lustrates as needed because of green's damage.
We never have any trouble with the golems phase with one tank. But our healers won't DPS at all in the ghost phase when our WAR is being pummeled. And we just never have 3lb to ensure a single ghost.
And, sure LB2 is more than enough to kill the ghost, but it doesn't push Nael hard enough to get him to 46% before he summons a 2nd ghost. The issue we kept having last night was we'd get a 2nd ghost as Nael was doing favor.
Your problem lies in your 2x BRD. Do remember that there is a penalty whenever you have job repeats. We are currently stretching our LB3 timer (It gets up about exactly when Ghost spawns), with no job repeats, so I imagine a single job repeat would make it near-impossible.
I'm gonna be blunt about this and just say it: if you're not pushing one ghost with 5 DPS, you need to tell you DPS to step up their game. I'm not trying to be a jerk but healers shouldn't need to help dps at that phase. Sure they can do it but it's not necessary. The whole point of bringing 5 dps is to skip the second ghost. If you can't, it's dps's fault. Not healers, not the tank.
Bottom line is, talk to your dps and be sure they're doing what they need to do. Replace people if necessary.
We only have LB2 about half the time. You just need to be aware and have an extra DPS spend a few GCDs on the ghost then go back to Nael.
The worst is pushing the phase too quickly and dealing with Claws during the second heavens fall.
It starts to happen as you begin to get there quicker and cleaner. Our DPS now have Allagan weapons and we're starting to push before the second heavensfall hits. And we definitively notice that we are barely getting LB3 in time now compared to before. We used to get LB3 up by Megaflare, and now we get it while we are fighting the ghost. Like I said, it's cutting really close for us, so I totally see the penalty making or breaking the LB3 on his group.
