You get a lot of Vanity items from ingame achievements. Also companions, minions, titles and choccobo bardings. Sounds already good to me. They could maybe add some special fan gifts like Wallpapers or exclusive sound files from the FF series.

I get the whole "achievements are achievements" thing, but why bother attaching a number to them if the number's not going to do anything? No one other than you can even see the number. Why not put the number to use or get rid of it entirely?
if anything at all, they should maybe reward you with a titel after amounts of points aquired.
achievement points are meassurements to show how far you have progressed in the game.there are players that simply finish their achievements for the sake of progression.
but since everyones playstyle greatly varies, item rewards should strictly be kept to the various achievements themself.by obtaining those items you already show that you've advanced in various tasks of the game (crafting tools, materia crown, total enemies killed, etc.)
the points you obtain were never ment to reward you with items, rather show how far you've progressed.
I always figured the achievement points, if they had to symbolize anything, a player character's reputation throughout Eorzea. Bragging rights indeed, but ones that players could get recognized for amongst NPCs, like shopkeepers who would be willing to sell special items only to those they deem "worthy".
Players that don't really try toget the points will reach 2000-2500 points.
Players that are more casual/focused will get around 3500points
Players that focus on it are around 4500-5500 points.
Players that crack out and play none stop and focus on achievement points have 6000+.
Only like 50-100 players have 6000+
Only players will 5000+ score are 1.0 players. Theres only like 5 people that are 7000-8000 score.
Most 2.0 players should be able to reach 3000-5000 score.
Yes they should bring back 1.0 achievements but regardless some of them are seasonal events/1.0 story and theres no way to bring them back into the game really.
Chocobo Escort/Hamlet/Off hand Fishing Spear/Teleport Locations/Gil/Levequest/Behest/1.0 Dungeon/Faction leves/Gil achievements and hole bunch of other stuff they still need to add in.
Only see them bringing back some of them.
Each patch they add in it becomes easier and easier to earn the rewards you couldn't reach before.
