Why oh why must there be 500 threads on the same tired topic. I'm a hardcore SMN fan and I think the job is fine outside of a laughable Egi. When they make LBs job specific soonish I'm sure we'll be able to do something crazy like summon a full sized Primal for the LB. Just plz let this go already. It's never a good idea to have a pet be your main or even half of your DPS in my opinion. If anything they should just give them more buffs/debuffs like Contagion so that pets can have 2 damage abilities and 2 support. The job is fine, no major reworking needs to be done to correct the minor issues with SMN.

I actually think SMN needs a buff on non-movement dps, aka ruin 1 should get a 20 potency buff to be on par with other dps.

Honestly, the only thing that should be changed about Summoner is the name. Make an entirely new class that actually represents the summoner archetype that's displayed in the vast majority of games out there. We're not asking for 0% Avatar DPS with a 50ft hulking minion of death that one-shots S-rank hunts. Just something that actually feels and operates like a summoner. -
