My friend the "content locust" :(

This community has to be one of the whiniest I have seen, has anyone actually played a game where there really is a severe lack of content?

But that is how THIS game is designed. Yoshi said himself 1-50 is suppose to be fast, he wants to rush you too end game. He also said this game is "more casual than ever" so the time sinks of battling rng isn't there. Just a casual token system. You can't help but to devour all content because he made it easy and a casual's game. This isn't the player's fault.

I've said it a thousands times before i'll say it again. I've played several mmorpgs where they only get ONE expansion a YEAR and I have never seen a "not enough content" or "Omg stop playing so much!" thread/comment. Because those games have proper time sinks and they aren't facerollthrewmykeyboardatawallthendippeditinpaintwhilepickingboogersoutmynose easy.

Can't we all just get along?

This discussion isn't about whether or not you, I, or whoever prefers to do anything in this game, and likewise not about what is considered good enough to do in this game. I brought this up, because it was the first time someone I respect in game has made this comment to me. I've been very fortunate in the people I've come across. I've been playing since October with almost all of them.

I'm not even sure I set precedent for a conversation actually. That's kinda why I said "on with the story". And one last time, I used the term "content locust" for reasons I previously stated in the disclaimer. In addition, the term "consumptionist" seemed a little like a medical condition. Sounds silly but I was put off. If I chose the wrong terminology I apologize, but simply reading the disclaimer (which is in boldface red letters mind you) clears it up fine.

I think this is more about someone saying they have empathy for a content locust is mistakenly being taken as an insult. If some of you would actually read the op and my statements, you'll see I am passing no judgement....just sharing a story.

Actually if you read what Baxter wrote he said he could have people are bad at reading, I think most people on here only see what they want to read.

At no point did I label sorting inventory as content. I said it is something to do, like chatting with friends, organizing vanities for preference, and studying content (youtube) in order to complete content.

Your friend is mostly right.
For instance, almost everything you suggested him is trivial/side lines. It's there but it's not really goal worthy.

If the game had more synergy with classes/jobs and we didn't have account based lock outs (Instead, if they were class/job based) and if crafting/gathering didn't utterly suck and instead it was meaningful (Provide powerful items if you work hard enough for it) then things might be different.
Then there is the problems that exist within the game and a whole list of other things I won't get into.

But yeah.

I will not lie i get bored of the game but the only thing that keeps me goin is helping people out i really dont care anymore for myth cap (if i cap by sunday that means i was really bored) but helping people out is what makes this game more fun to me even if it means wiping titan over and over

I play this game 2-3 hrs a day and I haven't beat gotten through all the content yet so the only way people are blowing through al the content of the game have to be living in Final Fantasy ARR from the moment they woke up. People who whin about lack of content have themselves to blame for not pacing themselves and playing this game 8+ hr a day.
