Edit: This isn't YOUR study, and it doesn't say we can't respond. Your results would misrepresent the opinion of content because you are only going to get people whining that content is too hard, when the people who have beat it will say it's easy; It would be a biased study, which is flawed as hell for an opinion-based study anyway.

First I am not the FC leader. I don't think I would make a good FC leader. Second, the disconnect isn't really as I stated. It's more like I play with players who play for the same reasons as I do and keep pretty busy. I also lead some learning runs because I like watching fresh groups progress through content, and the number of players who are (rightfully) scared of the community is just amazing to me.

As for carrying people through content, we have more than enough players who can do this, but I definitely agree that it's the wrong way to go about it.

The disconnect I mentioned is more of a... "I'm not sure why you play this game" kind of idea, and while I could ask people individually I think it is a bit rude, so I would rather ask a general population and allow players who might be more comfortable with themselves to volunteer information to me, than pinpointing individuals.

I'm not stuck as much as I'm unwilling to try DF repeatedly to get players good enough to clear Titan EM with me. I'm not interested in joining an FC for those fights because I'm not interested in drama or being isolated from pugs. I like pugs.

I'm disappointed that DF isn't able to complete content on DF with a reasonable success rate.

This doesn't make me angry; it just means that I'm not going to complete those fights. I tried t1 Coil with a pug, and we got up to the snake. It wasn't too hard, but it's fine for Coil to be outside my reach and designed for statics and FCs. I now consider the EM primals out of reach as well. (I beat Garuda EM but it was really not worth all that effort in DF.)

It's fine to make content for hardcore people in dedicated FCs (like Coil), but that content should not be on DF. Content on DF should be tuned for average players in pugs. It's frustrating that it isn't.

Instead of the above, I would say it is more correct to say, that there is a diverse amount of players with various skill levels and situation. Say it is easy or hard, is only a personal gauge based on a large set of situations and your skill level.

Rejecting others for saying it is hard, is not helpful and meaningful. This is a thread that specifically ask people what content they cannot clear. If you can clear all content, then as I said before, you are not the demographic in question.

Garuda EX, Coil Turn 4, previously Titan HM.
- Haven't gotten a group capable of handling Garuda EX yet. Someone always dies on the Tornados.
- Just need to gear ourselves up a bit higher
- Titan mechanics are just plain unforgiving if you slip up once or get hit with a latency spike. I'm not looking forward to EX mode but I know it's going to end up being a requirement down the road for storyline.

First and Third ones I am. I don't really like throwing myself at content to watch others rage and quit over things that could be fixed (practice for Garuda EX) or things that are just broken (Latency on Titan HM/EX). It's people's attitude that everyone needs to be triple A grade upper tier hardcore elite or you're a failure and people will take a crap on you.

The only thing I can think of is for the Titan-esque fights. They need to really cut back on having so much stuff happening at once that will kill you. Dodging is fine when you can actually dodge it and not have the game say 'nope! damage for you' or throw you out of the arena etc. I like a challenge, doesn't mean I want something borderline cruel to this degree, especially when the community here makes it 100 times worse when anyone messes up.

Less reliance on forced latency and high damage / instant kill skills. More creative content working with the system and players to be fun, challenging but not rage inducing to the degree of Titan.

Whatever, your intent was clearly questioning my logical aptitude as if it is flawed. Your reasoning: 1. You misread 2. You aren't in the right demographic. Pretty obvious you don't want me here. Well, sorry, ANYONE can post here because anyone in the playerbase can answer.

More open world content, both hardcore and casual, I want to be able to log in and have a variety of things to do that I can progress my character with.

The only thing I feel needs changed is the lockouts, I'd love to be able to run T1 or help others with it even if I can't obtain any loot. SE is afraid that there lack of content would leave us starved if they allowed it though. I understand the reasoning behind it but they need to buckle down on giving us more things to do. If they can't focus on fleshing the game experience out and just keep us running the same handfull of dungeons then we will continue to have this problem.

Well, I see you haven't had trouble with any of the content and for that I congratulate you. I do think the OP was just trying to get feedback from those in a position less fortunate then yourself. Either with latency problems, casual play times or members of a free company that is not aimed primarily at endgame.

Why are you stuck here?

I am stuck here right now because currently I am not in a static raid group or a Free Company. I used to be in an FC with 1-4 and extremes on farm, and we were working on Twintania, however because of my schedule they found it more convenient to do it without me, and they eventually downed it without me proceeded to leave me out of it in future weeks as well, so I left them because I felt like they would never offer me a chance to participate simply because it was inconvenient for them.

I am not a bad player by any means. I am fully capable of killing Twintania, I just lack 7 other equally skilled players to do it with.

Yes, I am very upset about this. It is actually making me really depressed. Every time I see people running around with Allagan weapons I am incredibly sad about it.

Not really, I am just in a really unfortunate situation that I don't think any changes to the game could help.

Same sort of stuff we've been seeing. I've enjoyed most of it, although I think boss fights need to have more interesting mechanics than we've seen. Most of Coil is pretty boring, especially turn 3 and 4.
