lol, I think I'd be too freaked out if I knew a mannequin was waiting for me at home >.>;;;
But then, I guess the PUP fans are going to flame me for that remark lol xD

I like the idea of having your own housing and stuff though I hope there be a separate inventory slot for decoration's of your home and not taking valuable inventory space like XI. Once you lay it out in house its out of your inventory... Think there should be different type's of home's a beginner's home and once advance though story,quest etc you get bigger and better upgrades to them. Retainers I've always though should be more like a companion who travel with you and have there own unique story that unfolds as you progress not just here carry my stuff etc etc.
You bring up a very important point on inventory space there.
In XI items placed around the room for decorating still consumed the general inventory. To alleviate this, a menu, much like moving one item from your character inventory to your retainer's, should be implemented where you place items (capable for decor) into a separate space. After doing so then you may enter the menu offering to make adjustments to your MH from what is placed into that "Decor Inventory Box"
Some interesting ideas, but if implemented they aren't going to be called Mog anything. This isn't FFXI where moogles are around every corner - they're rare here, and not personal servants to every adventurer with a bit of coin.
a good idea but im sure it cant be done because thats SEs favorite line these days.
Mog House references will stay for general knowledge purposes.
I think there was a misunderstanding there.
Let me explain...
In FFXI there was a quest in which you could "buy" mannequin parts (5 matching gender/race wise) and once you had all 5 you did a quest to combine them and make a mannequin that you would place in your moghouse. This mannequin then gave you extra 7 slots and you were able to use these slots by 'dressing' the mannequin with the epic gear/shield/weapon(s) you have acquired through your travels. You were only able to have 2 mannequins max. Each part had to obtained through an event as it could not be sold on the auction house. However you could buy it from someone's bazaar or trade it for a lot of gil of course.
It was a great idea. Once (or if ever) we get player housing I would love to see this make a come back. :)
I was thinking a neat thing for each character to have their own personal "Mog Shop."
An idea i like on this is...
Basically it will be an instance like the current market wards, yet each players would of course be smaller, just like a basic FF game shop, lil walk space and a counter with npc behind it.
Players will go to the zoneline and find basically the same options. You will be able to search items by type~ Then get a listed display of the shops selling. You select that, this selection goes into a list of 10ish stored "Mog Shops" From there the player can choose which shop they want to go to first in the wards for whatever item they are looking for.
These Shops will be available from any city @ the respective wards area. Players will also be able to enter their own shops and decorate, hang out, craft, be available to haggle, bazzar, afk etc.
