No, you didn't.

First, why even cast F2 at the start? Fire2 is .5s over GCD for 180pot, and using it for damage is a bad idea. Secondly, by using F3 and Flare while in UI1, you're running 2.5s over your GCD, so if we did rotations back to back, you'd be about 1.5 second ahead but I'd be 200pot ahead. After 4 rotations, you're 5~ seconds (and an extra Flare) ahead, but I've done 800pot more damage.

So your initial damage was gimped by F2 casts, and your steady DPS was gimped by long cast time. All together, someone doing the standard B3>F3>Flare>Transpose>B2>B2 repeat combo was putting up signficantly more upfront damage and signficantly more consistent damage. Sorz.

B3 start is only a hit on your dps
180 pot in 3 sec > 100 pot in 2 sec

My rotation with 1 fire 2 usually last 10-12 secs depending on mana tik
In that time i do aoe 360 pot powered by astral fire3 * 1,8 is 648 potency (plus a fire3 that we don't sum up)
In the same time you can fish 500-600 pot.
You do less damage

I agree, BLM in PVp pretty much shafted anything that comes its way. Thats what you were talking about right, how broke sleep is in pvp?


Haha kidding... though seriously, what are you on that you think they got shafted? Isn't really much changes I seen that the class should be hurt by what was really done, at least to the extent of ridiculous outrage over it. Though be nice if they made BLM dps actually remotely challenging, right now its the biggest joke in game to play as. Big hits are nice and all, but having a rotation that mimics what other MMos would have say a level 10 do is silly to me.

Before the patch we could do roughly 166 DPS minimum to a single monster with a Flare rotation, which is 500 DPS for 3, 1660 for 10. Now We do roughly 100 DPS to a single monster with a Flare rotation, which is only 1000 for 10. Big loss in AoE DPS, while ST DPS took a hit as well. The thing that changed was the double fast-cast Fire spells when moving from Umbral Ice to Astral Fire. They fixed the bug so you only get 1 fast-cast Fire spell, which really lowered DPS significantly.

However, it isn't something to cry about. It was a bug that needed fixed. The problem most people have is they were so used to it because it was hard to avoid the bug. Now they see lower numbers and feel lackluster in comparison to what they're used to. I guess you could call it irrational.

Ancient buckler is in game now and saw a blm with it today. You can buy it from the Npc in revenants toll next to the myth Npc.

Freeze is still for all intents and purposes, useless, even with the buff.
I can't think of a single situation where i've thought "Hey, freeze would be good here",
Freeze never has been, and never will be in my rotation, and i've yet to see a single BLM say otherwise.

The Blizzard 2 Nerf really bugs me though.
I can't figure out any legitimate reason for the potency drop aside from the fact that they gave it to all DoM.
1. Giving this spell to all DoM classes was completely unnecessary.
2. Potency Nerf should only apply to those other classes (ie. how they changed Blood for Blood to give DRG full 30% increase, but BRD only gets the 10% because of no enhanced trait)

Scathe changes, nbd.
MP Ticks, not really a problem, and as a player who never relied on any of the weird MP Regen tricks (ie. Quadra Flare), I haven't noticed too much of a change here.

it's a problem as you stated that most people have already got used to it. They handled this problem poorly, unlike how they buff warrior without messing with paladin as many players already adapted to the way how pld works.

it's a serious concern that they just handled things so different this time regarding fixing the double dipping. Nevertheless, resulting the mp tick off sync with GDC.... err I mean, GCD.

You really should read forums and dev responses more often man. They told us they were doing this not long after the patch so to be honest as bad as you think your small situation is, it is mostly your fault. You can make those myth tomes you spent back in one week now so you really are making a big deal over something thats really minimal at best.

Freeze is just...no no no :(.

I don't know why a high ice level spell is so useless :(. I'm talking PvE here, no idea if anyone uses it in PvP.
