Dark Knight Megathread

now is really the time to complain DRK is basically at a breaking point like NIN and SMN were and its the only job in this game at the moment that is desperately in need of a rework.
uninteresting additions
moves that just don't work properly
copy paste burst/summon
so many ogcd so opener and reopener are gonna be a mess.

And the JP fanbase will still most likely love DRK as if you go by the numbers TBN + oblation is very strong and will obviously function within a 2-5% difference between the other tanks. JP just cares about efficiency more than "flavor" which is okay too but that just shows the cultural difference between the regions and the influence it has on the devs. DRK will still considered a success in the eyes of the devs, going forward. If they do read this I only hope they add the 4.0 haste buff back into blood weapon so its easier to fit five gcds in that 10 sec window. However, I find it to be a funny coincidence that DRK is very much like the manga that inspired it. Fanbase is split between old and new design a.k.a.

Berserk 1997 = DRK 3.0-4.0 (slow methodical jank)
Berserk 2016 = DRK 5.0-6.0 (flippy dippy clang)

I don't see any gameplay reasons why anyone would play this iteration of DRK. There were a lot of comments during the previous two media tours on how DRK felt relatively underwhelming compared to its counterparts, but most people were at the point where they could draw up a list of things that needed fixing. Even if DRK had a massive dps advantage over the other tanks, this probably still wouldn't be worth playing. It's hard to give this the benefit of the doubt, when the job is even getting jabs in media tour interviews.

The dev team deliberately went out of their way to show to you that Living Dead really is the worst invuln by buffing Holmgang and Superbolide. No, there isn't even a 'duration' advantage for Living Dead, if you were confused about that part earlier. It's just straight up inferior.

I find it hilarious that Yoshi-p fired shots at how 'some other game developers' don't actually play their own game, while also conceding in another Endwalker interview that they don't necessarily have individual dev members who are either representative of or main every job. Well, I think that's pretty blatantly obvious to everyone here. Perhaps you should get someone on your dev team to actually try maining DRK, for a change.

The problem is, if you haven't noticed, here in the tank forums we're a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of the playerbase. Bad enough the OF already has a bad reputation amongst the playerbase at large. >_>

That's because the OF are poorly moderated. People come here at the expense of seeking drama and validation with the like function. So much so that I was baffled any moderation took place within this thread on the account of ... you know what.

yup. and yet we're told "post in the OF for your feedback to be heard."
It's not heard, it's ignored.
The OF isn't looked at unless we hit the numbers akin to the male viera thread ffs. Lyth can attest to having massive numbers and eyes on a well thought out and well written post... only to just be shrugged at and brushed aside because "The dev team knows best."

Here is the thing about this. This forum goes on a coaster. We had so many trolls here and a lot of off topic that always triggers people. Old threads show up with a new replies that does not help with the conversation The only time they will take action here if they are things that we should not know about.

Don't get me wrong it seem to die down( for now).

Like mute said other player do not go to the forums they go other places to voice there concerns, etc

Just so people know, the players posting in the Dark Knight job thread on the Japanese forum are pretty much voicing similar complaints about the Endwalker DRK info. One poster even directly referenced the complaints being made here in this thread, said that what we are saying is how they feel and posted a translation of one of the longer posts from this thread.
So it seems the general reception being voiced about the DRK changes is fairly negative across most venues.
