Regarding server transfer in ARR
For the first part it's most likely saying existing players can't go to newly added worlds to control economy among new players vs existing players.
I'm not sure about the 2nd part - I only know XI transfer where you talk to NPC when they had the transfer option available...that?? or something new lol
FFXI - Gold World passes and just buying the server transfer option on the SE account system.
I'm confused how that is going to work out when we're supposed to be able to select a data-center/server and go to these so-called "regional servers" in ARR.. but the info above says existing players won't be able to transfer "for awhile". Do they mean transfers after-the-fact, as opposed to the world we choose when ARR goes live?
I'm so confused.
if my understanding of this is correct and I read it correctly what they mean is if you're on a server right now you can't change it unless you make a new character. However down the road they'll impliment something that is like what they did in XI where (atleast in 11's case) you paid a certain amount of money and was able to automatically transfer to a different server. If you create a new character then your new character will be able to choose what server they're going to be on
I just hope they'll give us all a one-time transfer, if we so choose, to a closer regional server when they decide to open that up. We're not being given the option to do so at the start of the new game, and charging us to do so after the fact seems like a huge money grab.
Oh how disappointing. :( I don't want to screw up a new world's economy, but my linkshell wants to move to NA server.
