Not trying to start any turbulence in your thread Rein, but have the Japanese expressed as much concern over the amount of gil being dumped into the economy due to the Atomos event like the English forums? Just curious.

There is this thread on JP side http://goo.gl/B7RDe talking about the atomos/gc/gil issue talking about how it's going to cause causing hyper inflation

There is another announcement in a article... looking for the original source but people on JP side is saying once the server closes on 11/11 and YoshiP gives the next live producer letter then ALPHA will start, and they are all saying they thought alpha was supposed to run while current version is going and beta was when FFXIV servers close.

For Tokyo Game Show's FFXIV ARR is the new trailer only. There are no test machines or like Gamescom 2012's live presention and on 11/11 all worlds will be closed followed by Producer Letter Live and go into Japan first Windows Alpha test.

I pretty much felt that was going to happen. I don't see them releasing A Realm Reborn until at least early March to be honest. That is if they really do take the Alpha/Beta seriously.

Wow. Yeah, we're not going to see retail until March at this rate. I thought Alpha would start in Japan in October AT THE LATEST.

They are going to close servers for 3-4 months? I think this is no good..

Cause, and is causing right now. (Partly because less people are getting other items, but also because everyone is getting really easy gil).

It's good if they create a solid game. I don't care how long it's down for as long as the finished product is great. Also, I have GW2 during the downtime.
