Considering the line of her back and the tail draw your eye in, I wouldn't feel bad at all. Your brain's being tricked by artistic composition!
I am painstakingly listing all the doodles, including post count and indication of other artists appearances on the front page. :D It's taking forevers lol.
Oh yah... also this.

In case you don't get it... I have been playing the game Lollipop Chainsaw, very 'No more heros'.
Thyrus Chainsaw Sophia? lol
I have a confession, I love it when people redesign FFXIV AF gear. I love it more so when Nique is wearing it XD~!
There were some very talented dat modders in XIs day.
I felt lost in XI without my .dats lol. I had lots but the two I remember most was one to make the Hauberk set include a skirt, and another I did myself just so I could give Myr purple eyes. I think there may have been one to get rid of the ugly shoulder puffs on non-mithra opaline dress?
So it's like healing... only with chainsaws and a lot more running.
Ah the good old dat modding community. There was a lot of good ones around. A ton of them were "lowtech" or 18+. It made some of the less then desirable looking gear more desirable to replace. Our community dat modders are far and few beteen and started like usual with the birthday suit models. I think this shortage comes from the way dats for armour is stored. If you look into the folders, there si usually files 0000 - 0006 all being part of a set and each part being a different item of the set. A bit of a hassle I'd think, but I thuink the main issue was that FFXIV kinda flopped on release and the modders looked elsewhere. I hope when ARR comes out we'll see some a nice modders community. I won't be one of them mostly cause I'm terrible with 3D models. I prefer my 2D models as it's a wee bit easier to interpolate 2D coordinates over 3D coordinates in 3D space on a 2D screen or page.
ANd as always Keep up the beautiful artworks one and all! Oh I should tweak my nurse image and use it as a sig. But I'm still thinking on how to do it without damaging Niqote work.
hmm i see no problems :p
I've been told that the game is based on that anime, or at least greatly inspired by ^_^
If the Devs give us the all clear to mod then I will get into recolouring, I can't model for the life of me but because I have artistic ADD (read: always try a little of everything, never specialize) I would definitely paint some skins or co-create with a person who likes to make meshes.
Chop it up all you like, I did it for you after all <3
On a side note, post #2000 will be coming up in the not too distant future... I wonder what will happen there :D
Slwly... working through...all posts...
*rubs eyes and points to bottom of post #3*

Niqote, as an artist that uses a tablet, how long did it take for you to get used to the use of it? You're using a non screen based one right? I haven't used one a lot but I found it disorientating to use one as I'm used to seeing my pencil draw out what I'm doing. My current way is draw on paper, scan, edit with Photoshop for touch-ups.
~Random remark~ Sometimes it upsets me that I'm left handed in this right-to left world. Everything I write or draw get smudged. Luckily I rarely use inks so it's just graphite, but still it makes my OCD get worked up because I have to have clean hands. ANy other artistic Lefties here?
So, I'm playing Skyrim again, going for a 100% run...and I gots ta thinking (everyone take cover)... who would win a fight between Skyrim's baddie Alduin, and our very own Bahamut?
Keep in mind, Bahamut is huge and everything, but Alduin can control time, all the elements, and eats random people.

Let's pretend they're chibis, just to make it a little less serious.
A frustratingly long time lol. I use an Intuos4 which I only got last year. I wish I had the money to blow on a high end screen tablet but alas ~ life happens.
I feel more comfortable with a real pencil and paper. Have you tried using a sheet of projection paper (clear paper) to put where your hand would normally smudge?
I have finished the list of doodles >w< also semi organised the front page ^_^)/" yay.
I didn't make links to other peoples art with the indications only because I don't want to have to constantly check them to make sure there are no broken links, I hope that is ok with everyone.
Well it's good to know that if I ever get a tablet I'll not be alone in the fact that it takes getting used to.
Projection paper is a nice idea, however being very obsessive over symmetry, I'm constantly all over the page. I really should do a few doodles here and there more often. With as much free time as I have now it would likely be worth it.
On a side inquirery, is redrawing someone else's work an OK thing as long as I don't claim to be the original artist? It's one of the things I love doing to practice non static face forward neutral posing.
What you are describing sounds like 'eyeballing' (looking at an image and trying to draw it exactly the same)
Now personally I am all for it, because it's how I taught myself to draw (nintendo64 game manuals).
Some people are very against it and will have no trouble expressing that.
I think a happy medium is, if you are going to eyeball - make sure it's not for profit... if you want to post it up (like DA or PiXiv) just mention a credit to the original and you should be ok ^_^
It can get very complicated very quickly though, because sometimes you will use something, but change it so very much that it is no longer recognizable as the original. Then the question is...do you need to credit anymore? Or if you draw something in another persons 'style' should you credit them even though it's an original work?
The internet makes some things in life harder to deal with XD
