About the EU campaign for maid outfit and fat chocobo

So I just panic bought two (the last and only two in store) magazines from my local supermarket after hearing the online store was already sold out.

Both magazines were sealed and one neither with any sign of tampering... Yet only one had one code. My partner and I have to now hunt down out very remote town (regardless of the many newsagents here, the town is not nearly big enough to stock a magazine so unpopular) in the hopes of finding another place that stocks it.


Our next and last hope? We will have to take an hour and a half train journey to the nearest city where they will probably be sold out anyway...

I don't know what to say.

I mean, we expected it. Plenty of people have made the point that there is a real risk here that you can purchase a product you don't want with no guarantee that you'll even get a working code (compared with NA where you can genuinely receive an ordered product that you have use for), but to see a report that it has actually happened is just making my blood boil. £5 as well. It may as well have gone towards two sets of toilet rolls.

- You have to purchase three issues to receive everything
- Staggered across three months, thus a major delay with no immediacy
- We're last as usual
- Who even purchases physical gaming magazines anymore when we, an MMO audience, have ready access to the internet?
- Countries outside the UK will have to cough up a premium just to import the buggers
- Countries listed to have their own campaign will have to wait longer for details, with no guarantee that their campaigns will be any more palatable
- The majority of the world and their players won't even have a campaign. Goodness knows how much they would have to cough up
- The stupid photo email requirement - their statements that you won't need your face shown and that they will destroy the photos upon receiving them do little to assuage things
- GamesMaster is relatively difficult to even find
- I for one have no intention of supporting their parent company
- First issue is already out of stock online? Second and third will be no different, I wager
- Announced too late to even neatly go for a quarterly subscription and get all three issues
- You may not even get a working code (or a code at all!) upon purchasing an issue
- The magazine itself makes an error as to what you receive.
- It's the wrong decade

I think I have covered everything. That is quite the sin list above.

Is.. this true? If it is, it's such a big kick in our faces. SE keeps being quiet about all this, but THIS? People BUYING and still not getting the code? This has to be a bad joke. They can't just keep ignoring us.
This promo went from bad to a fricking train wreck. Wait, shortage, and then being "cheated" a code?
The worst thing is, we have to pick quick, if we wanna use our money on this promo, or pray to the twelve that the others will be better..

Well, in France, it always happend back in the 80/90's when such promotions existed (as for free demonstration CDs for PS1 which were mysteriously -lol- away from an open packaging -lol 2nd-).

You could try contacting the magazine and explain that the code was missing from one of the two. If they don't respond then contact SE.

Updated the thread with the list of issues the players are experiencing with purchasing the magazine. I hope someone from SE is reading -_-

Well there we have it, amazon's codes were pretty much unlimited cause you could buy whatever you wanted. Magazines sold out within 24 hours.. What in the world was SE thinking when they got this through!?

Didn't the gamecode key decided the region?
I don't know how it is with the ARR codes, but with the 1.0 codes the region is in the key (had to import the game from NA if you wanted a NA account).

well i already predicted it will be out of stock as soon it is up so i bought the gamesmaster issue 306 online when it is up, and now what????
