They said "Key-items" though. Stuff that really serves no purpose, I mean, you can't use or equip key-items. Even so, I doubt it. Yoshi or a Community Rep said that actually handing them an item instead of making it automatic was so you get the sense of your character actually handing the item to them.

Sounds like that was already debated in a board meeting long ago and left for decided. It's no game breaker for me.

I was searching for a thread about this issue.

I would also like 'HUD Sets', like we have gear sets.

For a DPS, Tank, and Healer, the HUD needs can change a bit. It would be helpful to be able to have a few HUD Sets available.

Please make battle music able to toggle on off like mount music. There is great music in this game, whether the battle music is a part of that I don't know anymore because I've grown tone def to it.

This is such a great idea. I, too, would strive for a personal best each time if I could see this.

As it stands right now, I just mechnically complete each dungeon with my mind on autopilot.

Remove arbitrary restrictions on various aspects of the game, and do not add future arbitrary restrictions. Any restriction on player actions should have a logical reason behind it, and any restriction that you cannot justify to the players probably shouldn't exist.

Some items can be stored in the Armoire, while nearly identical items cannot. I.e, certain Kabutos can be stored in the Armoire, while others cannot. Some holiday outfits can be stored, others can not. But why? Why is a dragon kabuto significantly different than a rabbit kabuto in such a way that one can be stored and the other can't?

On the subject of future restrictions, please don't place random rules on the vanity system just because you feel like it. Most games I've played has put arbitrary, and often downright bizarre rules on their vanity systems for no reason other than that they could. PLEASE don't go that route. Customization is fun. Rules are sometimes a necessary evil, but rules are not fun.

I fully agree with this statement. They already added crazy gear, may as well let us wear them when we want.

If I had a single, greatest complaint about FFXIV, it would be this. There are far too many tiny, annoying restrictions.

Important:

* View Retainer(s) inventory from anywhere.
* Attainable Fantasia; in-game or via MogStation micro-transaction.
* Item, Dungeon, and NPC linking in chat logs.
* Disengage from any Sale/Purchase (NPC Merchant/Mender/Market Board etc.) by simply stepping away.
* Form and organize Alliances.
* Automatic "Return-to-Sender" option in Mog Mail.
* View the name of Sender via mouse-over for new mail messages in the HUD UI.
* Reset Chocobo Ranks.
* Send & Recieve /tell messages within Dungeons.
* Commence - show a detailed checklist of names when registering for a Duty.
* Dyes removing Shader effects.
* Adjustable Color & Pulse speed for AoE indicators.
* Additional Waymarks.
* Alternative Loot distribution options for pre-made groups; Loot Master, Greed Only, etc.
* Count-down timers & Ability notification chimes. (Per 1.0)
* Adjustable opacity & background options for Chat Logs.

Please delete gil seller accounts my blacklist is nearly full. It is getting a bit silly that I am having to blacklist all the time.

please add a right click report function.
i want to report these ct trolls so bad but then i look like a troll by standing there for so long typing out my complaint that i look like the weakest link. (also for rmt spammers/bots of course)

It's an old suggestion / complaint, but having tp shown - to some degree - for everyone in the party is a must. Bards have no indication what so ever when they have to use their tp song or for how long. It's bad for when melee have a long aoe period and it's bad for the War tank, who tp-starves fast for no reason at all when there is a bard in the party.

The stance of SE that it takes up too much data traffic is becoming void. If you can show data on alliances easily, there should be no problem with showing tp bars in a party menu.

Exactly this. While you can get a feeling when TP song is needed when playing with a static, there's absolutely no clue for me other than party members screaming that they're low on TP which would indicate me to play that song when running a dungeon with some random people D:

We really need TP bars in party menu. The sooner the better.

After 2.3!? So coming this fall? I don't know anything about programming, so I may be showing my ignorance here. But does it really take so long for something so small to be implemented?

One big reason to NOT go ahead and mention stuff that's going to come in next patch is that if it's low priority to begin with, chances are it will be pushed away by other things that come up that get higher priority.
That's probably also why they seldom let us know ahead of time what's coming...

Now, I believe I saw on the JP forum that 2.3 will bring Chocobo respec.....

Also if that change gets pushed out of that release it is then placed in the next release which is about 6 months after the first release. It doesn't. They're sticking to a schedule.

Meanwhile XI gets new systems in almost every other update (which are on a monthly cycle.) >.> They could hot fix it in at any time but this game desperately needs content.

Its communication, other players tell you they need the TP song. Not really much of an issue.

I'd like to see dynamic monster/beastmen AI. Remember how coblyns used to follow you around in 1.0? How about more monsters that link? Adding depth to the monster/beastmen AI could bring some much needed mystery and adventure into the game.

hello. sorry if this has been mentioned before. i can't imagine why wouldn't have been! :D

so it's cool we can go to the Emote window and choose a facial expression. and you can actually see the change on the character face. but i thought it would be cool to be able to make this expression stick! like maybe a Mood window?

and maybe an option so we can have the applied mood become persistent even after logging out.

I think the following should be added:

The current "punishment" for failing an overmeld is too high, in the sense that the animation played is much longer than the one indicating a successful meld, and when dealing with overmelds you are probably going to face the failures multiple times. It should be shortened to have at least the same duration as the successful meld animation.

Not only that, the materia melding menu resets completely, which is a nightmare if you have more than a couple of items in you inventory, and/or more than a couple of materia. So the other suggestion is for the melding menu to save the cursor positions after a meld, be it successful or failed.

Has this been mentioned?

I don't like the Duty List being the same as the Fate List. Yeah, there is no fate list to my knowledge. I want to go in options and set my Duty List to not be seen. I never use one of those I always use my Journal in every game I play. When I tried in this game Fate info was missing off my screen. Put Duty List back up and there it was - fate information. I need to see that fate info you don't always go in and kill mob you sometimes hand shiz to an npc or it's a bit of a cute story. Tho really by now I've got most these fates memorized.

I want Fate Info I don't want the Duty List.

Auto-transform the gender-specifique-equipement when we change the gender of our character (like Lightning/Snow stuff, swimsuit, etc)

Im not sure if this was already brought up (there is 180 pages here) but can the male characters get body hair? Sounds odd I know, but I'm tired of seeing my character as some 18 yr old twink with barely any facial hair.

The Ar-moire is very disappointing. You can use it only for certain special items.

I just got my relic for my White Mage. I'd like to be able to put my ilvl 70 crafted HQ staff Alkalurops in the Ar-moire not my retainer. Yeah, I'm going to only be using the relic from now on but Alkalurops is a nice weapon and I just cant bear to throw it out.

Also, why does the Ar-moire reset spiritbond to zero? It's not like you can sell or trade unique items if they have 0% spiritbond anyways.

Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but here's something I'd really like to see.

-Upon clicking "Commence" for a duty, automatically equip the gearset you used to register.

There have been many times where I've been waiting on a queue, and decide to do something else as a different class (dailies, FATEs, etc.). Then the duty pops while I'm in the middle of something, and I can't change my class because there are enemies aggroing me. I've also even missed the timer for the duty because I couldn't get away from the enemies and switch classes fast enough. This makes me feel that I can't really do much while waiting, which is frustrating. And going into a duty frustrated doesn't set it up to be a good experience.

Fishing related:

Please make it so that the left thumbstick is disabled while in "fishing mode". It's quite frustrating to accidentally bump the left thumbstick and cancel my fishing action, and even more so when I'm mooching. Moving the left thumbstick doesn't cancel out a crafting attempt (thankfully), so I don't know why it would cancel out a fishing attempt. If it's cancelled because you get aggro'ed, that's fine, that's what stealth is there to prevent.

That's because the armoire doesn't keep detailed information about its items. It has a single bit for each item it can store, and all it knows is "Is item <X> present in the Armoire? [Yes/No]"

It doesn't store any more info than that, so the items cannot have any extra values like spiritbond %, durability %, dye color, materia, etc. So it resets any spiritbond, requires all items to be at 100% durability, and cannot take any items that are customizable with dye or materia. With those rules, it can know that all items have their standard default values when you withdraw them.

I do think they could add more items to what it can store, though. All unique and non-customizable items should be included, but many aren't. Particularly annoying is the way SE waits several months before getting around to adding new items to the armoire. If an item is storable, it should be added to the armoire at the same time that the item itself is added to the game.

Allow the scroll wheel (rotation forward/backward) to be bind-able.

I'd rather scroll the party/enemy lists with it than zoom in/out.

The development team is currently working to make it so this will not happen when mooching, and they plan to address this in patch 2.3.

I'm not sure if anyone already made this suggestion.

As things are right now, if you already have an item in your bag when it drops in a dungeon, the number of that item you have on you will be displayed in the item's description box. That's very convenient. However, if the item is on one of your retainers, it might look as if you don't have that item because a zero will be displayed.

It would be nice if the number would reflect what's in your inventory as well as on your retainer.

or even nicer if they could allow us to see what we have in our retainers inventory without summoning retainers.
it'll definitely save me time from taking screenshots of what my retainers have and then looking them up from the screenshots folder when I need to check what items I really have.
