Something about the coloring has made them more angular in shape and turned down towards the bottom of the nose (like this: \ _ / with the slashes being eyes and the line is the nose) whereas the lineart seemed more rounded and upturned (like this: / _ \). It also maybe makes them seem a little smaller maybe? Which just makes them seem darker as well because of all the surrounding dark skin. If they were opened up to be larger and brighter, I bet that would help convey more "surprise" instead of "grimace".Quote:
