Actually, it takes about two brain cells to rub together to see where this is going. You can make money on the AH until people are as broke as you are, and then that stops. Or you can run leves a few times a day. The exaggeration wasn't an exaggeration at all; it's currently the most effective repeatable method to create gil into the economy. When everyone comes to that realization, the markets are going to dry up too. Shame repair costs are fixed and won't move with the market.

You're the type of person who needs the iceberg to hit the boat to see what is going to happen.

I'd love to know the way you figured out to make money, and not just transfer money from another player to myself. The most I've managed to get, post level 50, was trading in HQ items for a tradeleve. That gave me a whopping 500 gil instead of the usual 125 gil I'm supposed to get.

Oh hey, look at that, I'm out of leves. Guess I'll just sit there farming goats all day so I can make another player broke instead of myself.

Could you contribute less to the thread? Seriously how about you stop your "I know better than the rest of you" attitude and get in the game and come up with actual solutions, you think people are going broke and writing a 45 page thread because they find it fun? get over yourself.

Playing the auction house is not for everyone, and forcing it upon everyone will only hurt the game, so how about we try and come up with solutions instead of playing the blame game.

It's pretty clear you guys just want a system solution to this "problem," and at that point what's the purpose of having gil at all? You want money handed to you without putting in any effort to make it. If that's the case, why not make everything free and never have to worry about anything other than running dungeons and teh lootz.

And once again you just show how little you understand of the actual issue, no one says they want it handed to them, people are saying they want actual ways of making gil instead of just playing the Auction house.

Leves, Dungeons, Guildhests, Quests, Raids, Logs, none of this will provide you with a surplus compared to running dungeons, is your idea that we stop running dungeons? Seems clever.

I think you're on to something there. Levequest limits are on a per character basis. With more characters, you'd have more quests... although you're right that it would be nicer to get better rewards, and HQ turn-ins are certainly a good way to do it. The other truth is that farming craft items should result in something more worthwhile to vend rather than trade. All the same, it shouldn't cost the proposed 5k to repair if you have a friendly crafter and the Dark Matter to do it. This is why crafting and community is so important!

EDIT: I completely neglected the other half of the duty finder. Hests have always been my bread and butter while levelling. Not sure about endgame...

And I'm saying they need to find ways. If no one's asking SE for a handout, so be it, but that seems to be part of the sentiment of the thread.

And I never mentioned the AH as a way to make money, since I do understand that it is a gil sink.

Do tell what more there is than the ways I already mentioned? I would like to know where this magic content that pays out enough gil to keep up with repairs is (there is none).
