I honestly don't really understand why they can't give healer a full rotation instead of just two buttons, I know they have healing responsibility and in high end content it does get pretty serious but tanks have a full dps rotation and still having 8 mitigation buttons they have to make full use of in ultimate content.

I understand button bloat is a big issue but some GCD heals could be combined together to make room for new buttons.

I think the very few dps buttons are the main reason I rarely play healer tbh

I am impressed at how big of a conversation this has created. Some of the arguments make really well good points. Hopefully they can interpret the feedback in way we can make good middle ground that works for everyone. I don't believe in making the roles very complex purely just for hardcore content, it needs to work for casual content as much as, that bit is crucial for me at least.

We shall see whether 8.0 will deliver Nirvana, Paradise, Heaven. We have our first test in just a week (and a day) when we can all get to experience the Expert dungeons.

Apparently, it's "expert" for real this time. We will soon see if it's just another exaggeration in the long string of overpromises.

Healers used to have more DPS buttons.
But a lot of healers refused to use them since they were playing a healer, not a DPS.
So people started complaining on healers since they were more or less just standing still during content waiting for something to heal.
If I'm not mistaken, it was around this time the phrase "You don't pay my sub" started when healers used it as a response to those complaining.
So I wouldn't be surprised if SE started pulling DPS buttons from Healers after this.

All we're asking here is for something else to do during phases where little to no healing is expected. Pressing a filler spell 12 times, then renewing the dot is boring. Furthermore, our healing kit is plenty but even the hardest of content is not able to make full use of it.

If anything, the haters/gaslighters/elitist are the ones who turn this thread into what it is today. To them, healer mains should remain doormats, tools for their enjoyment, nothing more. Just look at the tags.. And the threads popping out to mock this thread? Heck someone even made a google docs of all the people participating in this strike and got their logs.. for what reason?

Sigh...... i really miss 2.0 and 3.0 days where healers main focus was healing without this boring spamming single DPS skill 90% of the time that we healers have being doing at least 5 years in row now, tanks didn't have any of these powerful self-sustain skills and normal content where lot more challenging and fun to play.

There are ways to please/reach them both!
By making the healer jobs different from one another regarding dps complexity/+buttons..
But they will need raise the healing requirements too, to please the other group..

Sounds like turning Energy Drain into Continuation. I'd be all for that. It sounds really fun to be weaving energy drains for 10 seconds.
Not sure about the numbers off the top of my head, but that might actually give a normal rotational use for Ruin 2 as it gives you two weaving spots as opposed to Broil's 1.

Point A: I don't think that the manifesto in the first page is the problem. It is more on the negative connotation of the word strike.
Point B: It is also clear in the manifesto on the proposed changes to be made.

Finally, all of these had been said for more than 4 years already. We've just had enough.

Provide feedback in the proper manner, through the appropriate channels. Starting some thread/strike isn't going to actually change anything in game. So it’s more or less the word strike that’s the problem?

Regarding statistics for example on the relics.
I personally think these were the most successfull relics till now and yet yoshida promised changes to them so I think feedback is as important as statistics to them.
