You're not as rude as some people, I commend you for being civil most of the time, but you do love to take part in these arguments and essentially help make them thrive. So I find this comment a bit ironic.

The trick is to just state your opinion and leave it at that. The discussions would have been so much more productive if people just accepted that everyone's allowed to have an opinion, whether it is a reasonable or an outrageous one.

Yeah, I know that I help make those arguments, but its kinda hard to not argue when 30-50 other people want to keep pushing the issue, my problem is knowing when to back away weather i'm right or wrong. ( I try to work on that).

I was under the impression 1st phase Alpha starts while 1.0 is still up. Don't get me wrong I can't see how this will be out before march even if the beta goes smoothly, but for those saying 1-2 years you need to put the crack pipe down: this isn't vs 13 yet.

Its honestly not worth arguing with people who seem to have their mind made up >.< I mostly try to just state my opinion..respect others and move along. I'll only speak up if someone is extremely out of line or if I have a source of something people are stating as "facts" when indeed they are wrong and do not bother to post any source with their "facts" heh

It also don't help when people attempt to distort or misrepresent your opinions, or a given situation, with strawman arguments and red-herrings. That's one thing I can not stand, personally. Disagree with me all you want, but disagree with what I'm actually saying, not what you've contorted and distorted my statements into. Disagree with a situation all you want, but argue against it based on the actual merits, not on a conveniently distorted version of them.

Alpha - Late September-Early October
Beta - Once 1.0 goes offline (November 11th)

However it is now:

Alpha Phase 1 (JP Local) - Sometime after servers goes down November 11th.
Alpha Phase 2+ - (???)
Beta - (???)

Yoshida has said repeatedly that JP only Alpha started at the end of this month. I dunno why there is confusion now.

Trust me, I do look at what people say sometimes and think "what the hell?". But the only good way to counter things like that, is to just ignore people who act like idiots and rather talk to people who are actually interested in a healthy discussion (they do exist, even if they're not as vocal). Otherwise it just ends up as being a battle of the egos, and is just wasted energy, really.

Actually that's incorrect. Yoshi-P came out and confirmed that the Crystal Tower will be available at launch.

SE already has a very beautiful looking game in the making... All they need to do is make sure that things are balanced well and that normal systems function (Quests/UI/Menus/Battle) efficiently/lag free. I'll except a little bit of lag in Alpha and CB1 but by CB2 they NEED to have all that basic stuff ironed out. They need to prove that ARR is the FF MMO of this generation.

- PvP - Duels and battleground
- Delivery System - Self explanatory
- Auction House - Not an option. Turn the wards into that and be done with it... we're like 75% of the way there.
- Player Housing - Make them semi-expensive but still affordable for the average player. 2,000,000 price tag on a house is not a good start, should be lower.
- Missions - Need to not be "locked" until the next update. There should be a ton of storyline missions ready to go 1 to 50. No exceptions.
- Dungeons/Instances - Have to be available from Lv15 upwards. Tying these dungeons in with Quest storylines is a must.
- High Level Raids - Not talking "Dungeons" I'm talking "RAIDS". Crystal Tower needs to be something that will take players a good 2-3 weeks to complete due to difficulty of boss encounters. Varied mechanics to the encounters >>>>>> Upped stats on bosses. I hope you're listening SE. Along with the Crystal Tower they will need something else to supplement newer Lv50s. Primals? CC/AV? <--- Haven't heard if these will stay. My guess is yes with many changes.
- Tutorial - Robust enough that it hold's players hands through the first 7-12 levels before walking them into their first storyline mission and then letting them go on their way.
- ARC/SMN - I think it's a mistake to hold SMN until after launch. If the entire Class/Job combo isn't ready then don't release it. Release them together so that people can enjoy the progression how it's meant to be enjoyed.

If the above is in and works well then the game will have the steam needed to keep the attention span of players that "pop" in till the next major update (probably 2 months after launch)...
