That's the problem because of our low skill level the developers were obligated/forced to release content simplified to their gamer's skill level and will further release low skill level tier content. How long do you think you can sustain playing a game with dungeons at this patch level with the dungeons meaning to sustain you for months?Quote:

Yeah the game is meant to be fun and all but do you really think our community should just keep catering to the people who find spending 30mins+ whacking a dungeon because they find mashing their keyboard, fun? It's going to be 2018 or 2019 at this rate before we get something interactive and interesting to the combat system.
Luckily I enjoy crafting and housing which keeps me interested in playing but that's ignoring or cringing at a big section of the game which is the dull combat.

I think that FFXIV does need to push the ball a little bit. Yes, by all means, we understand not everyone is good at MMOs, but you have to challenge people I find. Now what is easy for some people is gonna be ridiculously difficult for others (for example, try and get me to do decent DPS on a DPS class, you've got more chance of winning the Jumbo Cactpot 10 weeks on the trot with the same numbers each week and nobody else winning, but I tend to do pretty decently as a healer/tank), but at the same time, more needs to be done on this. I think the community also needs working on. We need to be more helpful to each other. Work with people, support them. Don't just be like:
Be constructive, and give helpful tips that show them better ways to do things. Plant the seed to help them improve. At the same time, if someone gives you a helpful tip, such as:Quote:

Then you need to listen and take it on board and be open to trying it. And I speak as someone who has got defensive before. Someone explained to me "Oh you should keep darkside up at all times" to which I explained "I only use DRK for levelling roulette, for venturer in need, since I play PLD more in dungeons but it's rubbish IMO in low level dungeons". That being said, I do at the very least use Darkside on bosses, unless it's add frenzy, because I find I can keep my mana up. Outside of that, I feel I struggle with it.Quote:
To maximise your opener for WAR, go into Deliverance and then: do your 2 combos (one with Storm's Eye, then the one with Butcher's Block), then hit Berserk, Fell Cleave, Infuriate, Fell Cleave, do the 2 combos again and weave a Raw Intuition into it for a 3rd Fell Cleave before Berserk runs out. If you can't achieve this you may need to get more skill speed on your gear. I think THIS is what we should be working towards, features that will nurture and encourage the community to work together. Could a rating system be part of that? I aren't convinced myself, but it's definitely worth bringing the idea up to see if we can make it work. -
