You conveniently ignore that this request about males wearing female clothes (and by extension females wearing male clothes) doubles their workload. Now I have to question whether you truly understand Project Management. The reason they don't do crossdressing a lot is because they understand the niche factor, how they don't want to make it a standard (because of the workload behind it), and they don't want people to expect it for every glamour set.

I'm not ignoring it, I'm saying that they can work on it when they can, if they ever can. If they can't - so be it, though it won't stop people from asking (it never does). Not sure what's so unclear in my post.

It was unclear because you didn't include it in your post. In fact that's the key factor behind why a lot of people don't support males wearing female clothes and females wearing male clothes. With how little time the devs have they could use that small amount of project management time on

1. Stubble
2. More hairstyles
3. viera/hrothgar helmet situation
4. HD textures
etc

What happens when you give males the chance to dress like Ryne is that a possible G'raha Tia or Emet Selch glamour doesn't get added (2B situation).

Why do glamours need to be "purely" masculine for you?

Neutral means you can put it on a male character and it looks like menswear. Isn't that enough?

My main is female, yes, but I have more male than female characters (four vs three, set to be five vs two once Viera are available).

(Forgive the EC self-promotion, but scroll down the page to see their galleries) I have Sylviel, Haru, U'zolwe and Zi'aba – not that Haru does much to demonstrate my taste in men's fashion, but he's for trying to make some of the "weird outfits" work when I wouldn't put them on anyone else.

The other three though – they're not "manly men" but they're all definitely men. I don't dress them in things that make them look like women. I'm picky about what suits them and I have lots more outfits that I haven't gotten to posting.

The biggest thing that stands out to me from playing multiple characters is that nothing ever suits everyone. Things can look great on one character and terrible on another – even between my two Miqo'te who logically have the same body shape. A large chunk of the total range of glamour options will not work for any one character, which is why I like having a few to play with.

i like playing with pretty dresses on my female characters, but I really like the range of things available for male characters too. As long as it looks good on them, I don't care one bit if it can also look good on someone else too.

Because i enjoy masculine glams. We get purely feminine glams all the time. I want masculine glams added in the same quantity as those. Like, we can argue back and forth about this glamour type has more or less of it but the bottom line is, there is seemingly far less effort put into male/masculine glams than there are the female ones. Healing sets are a big example of this, where they barely even change the design from the female set. Bunny outfit is another one. All i want is for that same effort,time,and resources to be put into designing male glams and not constantly coming out with feminine-esque glams. That needs to be addressed before they start taking time away and resources away from that and putting it towards taking away genderlocks of already released gear. When they can’t even give us new glams from dungeons and it’s instead recycled glams, that’s already concerning. I don’t need to see more of that purely because a minority wants no genderlocks. People have been asking for more masculine options for years and it’s fallen on deaf ears and instead they’ve pandered to the crowd asking for androgynous of feminine things. It’s ironic considering Yoshi P’s stance of “equality.”

It harder to make things "purely masculine" though, because a thing becomes feminine as soon as you put some ruffles and ribbons on it, but what do you do to something to make it unquestionably male, no girls allowed?

I'm not asking this to trap you. It's an honest question and people seem to squirm away from it whenever I ask.

Fashion itself is skewed to make it easy to wall things off as "feminine" but a lot harder the other way. So what would achieve that for you?

Dungeon gear has always alternated between new and recycled designs. ARR just repeated the same few sets over and over; Heavensward created quite a few new designs but then reused some, or gave everyone colour variations on a single design; Stormblood settled into alternating between new and reused sets. There's nothing new or concerning about it, just their standard production cycle, and I just see it as another opportunity to get outfits in different colours or for other classes.

I would say masculine fashion would be something, like feminine fashion, that accentuates a male's traits. Something like open shirts that bare the chest or ones that are sleeveless to show off muscle. Personally if I wanted my male characters to be dressed masculine I'd just have them with their shirts off. I already do that with my hrothgar alts. Outside of musculature and their bait'n tackle, men don't really have as much to focus on as women.

Well a majority of it is as simple as you said. Gear that isn’t a frilly, ribbon fest is a good start. For me it would be headsets that maybe show more muscle or accentuates the chest/abs area of the males. Things of that nature. Like, for some of the frilly or ribbon-y healer outfits, they could easily just turn them into tunics. There’s a big difference between something like the hellfire set and the 2b set is what i mean. The hellfire set has that chest window which is semi-revealing but the overall glamour is pretty masculine. Things of that nature.

I actually like au ra as they are, I just need the miqo'te hempen top, and for SE to add more glamour pieces I like. I don't see why they would need to touch elezen either, they are fine as they are, or rather, we are beyond a "correction" at this point in the game's lifespan. If anything I would rather just see them add a half elezen playable race, like Hilda. Anyway, I mean, I wouldn't be an ardent supporter of this request or anything, I'd just leave a post saying like: "yeah, sure whatever" at that point, if it was possible.
