And in culture of openness, those who are free to enter are also free to leave. Polite excuse, maybe even a white lie is enough to make it a non-issue. It is still possible to enter those highly skilled social circles and play with them exclusively, but none of that requires exclusion of others in "public places".
Because while being bad at video games and hitting enrage after enrage might be frustrating, that is only video game stuff. Nobody deserves to be then additionally harassed on top of it. There is a massive difference between playing Sekiro and dying, and being verbally attacked by teammates in League of Legends.
PF is not a public place. It's a party run by a certain player and it is entirely within their right to decide who gets to stay or is kicked. "Difference in playstyle" is a legitimate reason to "part ways" with someone. Despite what some here yearn for, Square Enix cannot force me to carry bad players.
It's great having the fat kid on your team until your entire team gets benched because the fat kid made infinite mistakes and you no longer get to play in the first place. It gets even better when the fat kid is the one who starts complaining about others being bad, because he's a delusional prick and has been carried so many times that he thinks it's through his own merit.
I value my time. I don't want to spend that time not playing because others who got carried to their kill by either friends, excessive time spent in PF until carried by a group, or otherwise, are ruining every attempt by not actually being good enough to deal with the mechanics, nor their own job. Until the game offers a method to filter these players from the party finder, I will keep being grateful that there are individuals who have the guts to proclaim that they'll filter their group to ensure everyone present is having a good time.
The crystals don't become tethered until a few seconds into the add phase, which means you get to damage them freely, including limit break. It's not cheese, it's the way it's designed. Nor are people holding back to deal with them, since the damage they deal there does seem to matter toward the final result. There are likely ways to squeeze out slightly better damage dealt for statics, but those are the exceptions, not the majority.
Also, you seem incredibly delusional if you think people are wiping your runs on purpose. Is your own performance so amazing that you've never made a mistake? Or are you simply allowed to make them and they are not? You're the type of person I try to avoid by joining these other runs.
Yep. There needs to be some restrictions, because you cannot rely on people's altruism. I didn't join any farm parties -even after my clear(s)- until I had all the mechanics down, but you cannot count on others to do the same. I've just done several more clears today for one of the extremes (to get more weapons + chance at mount), and even with restrictions in place people still join even though they really shouldn't be. Wearing unmelded gear, going in without even full tomestone gear, failing simple mechanics like ice constantly (killing other players), etc. At the very least some light restrictions can semi-filter the possibility of people who don't put in the effort from joining. It's a team game, and a lot of people forget that.
You don't understand; High-end players in this game have a moral imperative to sacrifice their time and cheerfully accommodate both underprepared players and party-finder grifters.
DRG exclusively using doom spike in a single target EX fight? Smile and thank them.
Someone joins on an alt-role they've never played because it was the only slot available? Give 'em a friendly hug.
Someone lies about their prog-point and wipes you for 2 hours straight on the first few mechanics? Offer them your wife.

Arguing with people on this issue is usually a waste of time; Most of this anti-filtering crowd either : A. Doesn't have a lot of experience pug raiding or B. Are consciously in on the grift and looking out for their own interests.
