I have to admit, I'm a little confused about these targeting changes. They removed Sub-targeting because people didn't like it, now to solve the fact that people are irritated that they can't target a different mob, they're adding... sub-targeting. Obviously, we'll have to wait to see how it works in 2.0, but the whole thing is quite mysterious to me.
The only reason it annoyed people is the fact the current targeting system at it's core is completely off. For example targeting feels like it's coming more from your screen than it is from your character position.
(last discussion post for me, to avoid clutter in Reinheart's thread)
Don't get me wrong, I actually quite like sub-targeting, and leave it turned on myself. But it struck me as odd that they "removed" it, then are "adding" it back in to "solve" the problem that was created by "removing" it in the first place.
Triairy responded on the Connect! On! August Edition thread on the JP side.
Hope that cleared up some threads talking leveling going to be fast in 2.0... as some stated saying I mistranslated... didn't think people would think leveling would be faster than now... meant as fast as now... but oh well... at least now we got YoshiP confirming it's not that fast so hope it's all good.
Thank god. When he says in a short period of time you automatically assume quick if not quicker than now, since powerleveling is what speeds it up tremendously.
This makes me a happy camper. This sounds more "Final Fantasy" to me than slaughtering trash mobs.Quote:
Yes, unlike current version it's not where you kill mobs to level but the development is being done to a style where you naturally level up by clearing contents.
