Also, this trailer was a terrible trailer to catch peoples eyes and get them hooked into the game. Ya, sure CG was cool. Though, people don't want cg, and I know more trailers are to come, but this could have been like, the second trailer. People want something to be like OMGS, this does not do anything to grab people in. So far, SE is kinda

@ Dargoth_Draconia I agree. I didn't have any issues with it but I still say my ls member has an epic voice you know the voice over they do for trailers for movies... like the guy who did that voice over for voltron and Optimus Primes voice actor from the movies. He's got that type of voice and i think some people were expecting something like that to grab their attention. His accent was fine with me.

It definitely grabbed peoples attention because look at all the people complaining over nothing. Apparently they did something right, lol.

That is the beautiful thing about an opinion, I distinctly got that impression from the very first time I watched the video. One it focuses in on him the most and also says these things in the video.

"Sent beyond the reach of time where WE remained.....Until Now" Then at 0:32 on the video it is zoomed in on his face as it looks like he is gazing into the camera while leading the pack. Might have been too subtle but it seemed like he was the narrative voice for the video.

Maybe I'm one of the few, but the voice acting really didn't bother me much.

I'm not sure he's the one narrating A Realm Reborn.
It doesn't quite sound like the same person to me.
Unless he gets a much thicker accent somehow. O.o

Now that I've listened to all the voice-over versions of the new "A Realm Reborn" trailers, I think the French version was the best one... (I understand some French and I have to say it was very well done).

I also agree that the English version however was iffy...very ordinary, intonation felt forced and didn't quite carry the excitement of the trailer's climax.

What could really work for the English version is if there was an older-sounding, polished voice that makes viewers think that a wise storyteller (like Louisoix?) was unfolding the tale. Just my three cents.

Maybe it sounds cool to the untrained Japanese ear but to me it just some guy trying too hard to sound deep and interesting. maybe a woman would have done a better job, usually female voices mixed with visuals of destruction and awe tend to sound more interesting and hopeful.

The voice is that of the male character who stars in FFXIV Opening Movie and on the box/manual/etc (k someone already stated this). I think it's perfectly fine. I'm not sure what you people dislike about it. If you really dislike it that much go make your own fan teaser.

I had no idea this topic was already 5 pages long... I wouldn't have responded if I'd known that.

There's an awful lot of orange/blue contrast in it.

They should have had Ned Stark (Sean Bean) do the voice acting. It would be well worth the money!

Everyone loves game of thrones, and especially Ned Stark. Also, he has a good voice.
