I think the outcry for that would be catastrophic. Glamour is the endgame here, so no one would like it. Before I would have said Ivalician Moogle, cause they were cute rat things that could wear armour, but then they showed the Ivalician Moogles looking the same as the Eorzean Moogles. So maybe not.

Didn't they try that already and people, rightfully, were ready to get their pitchforks and torches? Maybe they should leave the OG races as they are until they can get a character designer and UI designer. And start untangling the spaghetti code from the CC. Then just add more options.

I'm forever on the copium for my goats the Bangaas to be added, but given how Hrothgar and Viera have been treated by the devs since they've been put in and after all these years...I think I'm content to just keep huffing the copium while also wishing they never actually put them in given they'd probably get the same treatment as Viera/Hroth do when it comes to, well, everything it seems like.

Personally, if I were to wish for a new race to be added, I would wish for Yukes from the Crystal Chronicles games, being magitek constructs or ensoulled armors, which would be something completely new and different to the current offering of races. It could use a modified Elezen rig. And if we are at the point where we believe that no races added after the Au Ra will get full support for headgear, then Yukes by their nature as golems would not really need equip able headgear anyway, as at the barber shop you could just swap between different Yuke heads/helmets.

Seriously though, things like massive upgrade options for character creation/customization need top priority. Considering how much money we’re pouring into this game, SE can make things happen.

If we get a new race, it will be frankly too soon.
Fix and expand options for what already exists.

I am also signing on that they should prioritize fixing the current gear for the existing races rather than adding in new races.

It's not just hats; there's a lot of issues with gear on female Hrothgars. There's serious issues of clipping for all races while sitting down, or riding mounts. Miqo tales don't play nice with a lot of dresses. Instead of customizing hats for Elezen, they hide the ears entirely. Same with some hairstyles on Horthgar.

Focus on cloth physics and gear display mechanics for those who are already in the system, instead of making a whole new race, please.

I agree they need to just fix the races they have right now. Outside of the viera and hroth issues, the older races need work too. We need more customization options for faces and features and they really need to change the animations and certain things like Elezen neck length. I had an elezen for quite a while and the neck was a bit stupid but it was the running animation I couldn't stand anymore. Female hyur midlander running animation is bad too. For those who like them and the elezen neck, that's fine just give us more options. It'd be cool to choose a running animation and have access to both male and female weapons drawn idle poses.

More races would be great and all for adding more!

To be honest, it is not that important for us Cats and Buns to wear hats... a flower or the likes or headband is much more awesome.

Yes I learned a long time ago flowers go so much better with most of my glams then actual hats or helmets

The last two races they added almost nobody play, especially Hrothgar. No offense to them its just not worth the investment. I would much rather they instead add more customization to the existing races.

More?1!?!? They can't even get Viera right after 6 years...

It's an old post, but it's true. We need a major expansion of the character customization system for the existing races, and adding more new races gets in the way of that.

We need more races, plain and simple this whole they need to do one gender at a time is wild. More races and more customization options, Races is something people get excited for
