Don't be out of position? Guard after getting pulled or bait the pull by guarding if the war is out of position. If you're with your team then being pulled has little impact and can actually be a negative for the war if he goes to far forward to make the move.
PvP has some problems, some balance related but mostly server related, but most of your complaints are just you being bad.
Because like it or not, sometimes get good is the answer. I have my own issues with the new pvp, but a lot ya'lls complaints are just straight up being bad at the game, especially the complaints about being hard stuck in certain ranks in one of the easiest rating systems I've ever seen in a ranked pvp mode. Less so now that you can de-rank, but there was no excuse for season 1 and 2 lol.
If the crowd wasn't that bad they wouln't had to use 6 blotas on me :D

Crowd control needs to have diminishing returns, nobody likes getting pulled around and stunned for a hour every five seconds, the fact you are even defending this is sad.

Just what I expected, the usual obvious and useless advice like "Don't be out of position", yeah thanks, next you'll tell me not let myself get stunned, come off it. I could be fighting on the point with my team and a WAR outside of my FoV can just Blota me into his ranged or environmental hazard, so I guess playing the objective constitutes as being out of position. Next you're telling me to bait it, by wasting my guard the second I happen to glance at a WAR not fighting on the point? Again, come off it. The job has 3 ways of closing the gap between them and their opponents and 2 of them are CC that are unreactable.
To top this all off, you're telling me that my complaint of being CC'd whilst I have my resillence buff up, is just me being bad? Piss off idiot.
Gotta say, after hitting Crystal twice in CC, it's just the same mess of shit that SE clearly can't balance. Lack of DR, RNG one shots, shit netcode, abysmal class balancing, LBs being either laughably useless or broken with no rhyme or reason as to their actual cooldown/buildup time. If you don't abuse the broken shit you're just going to die over and over to people who do, and even then server ticks will sometimes just decide to fuck you over instead.
Just gotta face the fact that PvP in XIV will never be good, the foundation it's built upon is faulty, and anything they try and build on top of that will be doomed.
Telling people to not be out of position, to stop chasing enemies and to know when to push the attack or when to retreat is not useless advice. Saying that stuff like that is useless advice just goes to show that you have no interest in improving. Equally, being hunched up on the point is generally not the best option either. All of your complaints seem to come down to you just lacking awareness.

It's useless advice, being in or out of position does not stop you from being CC'd, nor does it stop WAR from being able to pull you with Blota. There's only so many places you can be on the map whilst contributing. Melees are either playing on the point or harassing ranged and ranged are usually off the point dishing out damage. If a WAR pulls a range onto the point are you going to tell the ranged "You were out of position."?
The terrible map design only exacerbates this problem, 2 out 3 maps are nothing but long sightlines for ranged to harass melee with barely any corners for melee to play around, on maps like these, what exactly does it mean to be in position?

So i think you better think loooong and hard before you start assuming i have nothing to counter your argument with. Its only useless advice to players who don't want to look at themselves. You are exactly the player that probably chases and runs into a 4v2 situation causing the respawns to continue to stagger. And if a ranged gets pulled by a war btw....yes 99% of the time that ranged player was way out of position or wasn't paying attention and didn't fall back when the fight was lost. If the ranged is where they should be and gets pulled by a war and your team fails to kill the war that was grossly over extending then the problem is your team being bad for not taking the free kill. Sucks when that happens, but that's the coin flip you get sometimes.
Then why has over 50% of the players in CC had no problem getting the crystal achievement? By your logic they all just win traded, which is ridiculous. If I was gonna win trade I'd push it to the top 100, not a mediocre 1k score. Pointing out the flaws in peoples arguments is not trolling. The game has balance problems, it has network problems as well, but yet again, most of ya'lls complains are almost entirely skill problems. Yes we need DR, yes the game is stun heavy, and things like taken damage after guard was up is frustrating, but its not so extreme that its preventing players from climbing. Whether you like it or not, it is an undeniable fact that this new PvP system removed the skill gap between normal players and veterans.
If this is still 5.0 DR system, most of people post here don’t event stand a chance in PvP.
The complexity of PvP rotations also has been simplified in a way that normal players can output same damage as veterans
The only jobs left still demanding skill to play is Reaper, Monk, and Dancer (personal opinion)

lol nah dude, im all for removing DR all together because fights that last ages are dumb, nobody wants to have to go and get 4 people to kill ONE tank.. I literally posted a thread that lists a bunch of changes I and a bunch of others would rather have instead of whatever the current garbage system is.
All of this over someone recognizing that Blota has higher priority over Purify's Resilience...

I've reached a conclusion, CC is absolute trash and so are the Job bull**** abilities along with it, especially Monks that piss me off to no end.
At first I liked the PVP changes, but now I'm seeing the funny side.
That's fine and all, good players always adapt, but that doesn't change the fact that the prior pvp combat was not really all that complex. The pvp needed to be sped up and its exactly what they did as TTK has been an issue for awhile with the old pvp. I do miss things like DR and old mnk was a lot more fun in pvp with its burst windows, I still think the baseline of current pvp is better. It just needs to be tinkered with more.
