3rd day of login hell
7 days of free sub? You can keep it, Yoshida and buy some servers. Like a laptop, mb...
Hi wanted to make a post about this and been stuck in que for 10000+ while trying to login to Odin server. EU needs more additional servers, it really is unbearable to login and I get error 2002 code then it dc and I’m back in 10k + que again. Really love your game, but from all money you get from your subscription customers, surely you could spend an amount for EU datacenter servers.
Thanks for reading, bye.
so they had to have a crystal ball that the number of people would far exceed 17000 people when even with the onslaught of new players the max queue was approximately 1200 even in the EU? even mupltiplying that number by 5 won't come NEAR the limit, eve times 10. no they could have done more. the time they are granting is because they are trying to make up for something that they could not totally experience. the Asian servers have not been expanded that much since i started playing 1.5 years ago and even if they could you are into the territory of equipment shortages in the last year PLUS COVID travel restrictions to and from japan where the server clusters are.
I am starting to think Freki42 is the dev responsible for this
no need for "crystal ball" they clearly knew the number of sales for Endawalker for both EU and NA but yet continued and still continue to sell it, they knew the regions the accounts were for they even knew the servers the accounts were most active on, they have ALL the figures or did someone accidently forget to look at server capacity numbers, there is no white knighting this they are selling a service they can not provide
IMHO if you get booted out of the queue due to no fault of your own the game should always return you to your place in line when/if you are able to get back in (or at least give you 60 minutes to get back in, not 5.)
We shouldn't have people afk dancing on the steps in Ul'dah when thousands are trying to login either.
Not sure if this is a workaround but just in case it helps anyone - I was getting disconnected at the login screen with the 2002 error over and over last night but noticed it happened a couple of times at the 30-31 min mark if I let it sit while I did other things. Maybe the "inactivity" timer hits the login screens too? Anyway last night while in the queue I started to just hit keyboard buttons, mouse buttons and move the queue window around for a couple of seconds every 10 min or so. 90+ min later I made it from 3900+ into the game. Tried it again a couple of hours later and seemed to work again. Tried it just now when my queue was 2000 and seemed to work again. Had a friend with the same 2002 over and over issue try it just now and she got in. Could just be good luck but worth a shot to the struggling with 2002 folks out there.
THERE IS NO EXCUSE TO NOT HAVE RENTED NEW SERVERS ON THE EAST COAST AND FOR SOUTHAMERICA!!!!!!!!!! They knew about the WOW debacle, they knew they were going to get a HUGE surge of players and yet they didnt rent crap for new servers.
Just another greedy company you cant trust.
Final Endqueue 14 - Endwaiter with the new ultra-savage mode of: The Login Queue,
New housing incl, get to know the housemates in your own household
the free sub thing was really to keep them out of court and to also keep people from refunding (refund = no sale). Instead of preventing it, they are spending more time keeping their asses out of EU court systems
This launch is nostalgic - it reminds me of the servers being constantly down in ARR and Raubahn Savage in SB, but login queue ultimate is arguably new content.
Yeah, this is a very frustrating experience.... after a hour of waiting... got to 38 in cue, got my third 2002. Login again. Server encountered an Error. Login again. No back to over 3,700 in the cue. So far logining into the game has taken so long that it leaves so little time left to actually play the game :(
This launch is going to sour people's opinion on EW and more importantly SE as a company. A lot of eyes are on FFXIV to be the MMO to finally supplant WoW and they're screwing it up.
like everyone that's frustrated ive spent 6 hours in que today, right around the 3 hour part the que times out. so i wait from a que of 5k down to about 1200 then it cuts out i restart the que quickly and im back at 4600.
i Took vacation time to enjoy the game but i havent been able to login once since the "pre release" started. is SE going to cover my wage loss at this point? because i cannot play the dang thing i took time to enjoy? we know the answer is No they wont do a thing to fix this issue. just wait it out because it actually costs money to fix this launch failure.
in comparison ive played wow for about 15 years on and off not once did i have actual issues logging in and enjoying some time in the game yes there were server crashes but overall i could play. and this is sad to say but im a 1.0 player even 1.0 functioned better than this...
We get it in your eyes they can do no wrong. Sheesh the only person that needs to chill right now is you fighty mcfighterson.
So why do they sell licenses for a product they cannot support? They are willing to take our money but not provide access?
Considering the reputation these forums have for banning people, I'm honestly shocked a mod hasn't stepped in yet. Then again, it is Sunday, so they may not have anyone working to monitor these threads.
Yeah it really is a total mess. The errors are so discouraging it's like... why even bother? I cant guarantee I will get in so I am wasting my day. Its insanely frustrating that it is still going on.
