The company "PrizeLogic" is handling the emails which must they must also verify the receipts as well. They will also reject receipts may be if the image is illegible, reprinted, altered in any way, showing a purchase made outside of the qualifying times/dates or have failed to meet product purchase requirements. The issue right now though is that there is a large pool of users which need to be verified which is where most are at right now.

That's basically what is being repeated on their twitter in various ways.

The per-character thing has been a general issue creeping in. Apparently there's a limit to the account-wide codes they can create or... I'm honestly still confused as to the exact issue, but it would seem that some part of the database structure would need to be seriously increased to relieve the issue or restructuring collectables to be account based instead of character based which is a large undertaking. Someone made some structural decisions early on that were not built for alts & FFXIV's current popularity.

Bought my butterfingers 10 mins before site went live and it says time on receipt so not correct.

I'm not satisfied by this slippery slope of "well it's just a $5 mount, why the hysterics?" We've seen it time and time again in so many things, from SE and others, that the general public grows complacent and dismissive of a "minor" thing, then boundaries are pushed further and further.

"well they were okay with us charging $5 for a per-character mount, why not sell them one on the mogstation for $10, with a per character limit. Just make sure it's cute or whatever, make them want it."

same folks would also complain about more and more stuff being pushed to the mogstation instead of being released in game; same folks would excuse any other sort of behavior because it matters to them, but something that doesn't? 'who cares?'

The “vetting” of the time purchased to be when site went live in is incorrect on their side. Also again they’re not going to drag themselves through the mud on this blunder.

They widened the eligibility period because there were a lot of people that had pre-purchased the product.

Many of us waited to go buy our stuff after the promo went live. I was told those purchased before wouldn't count. So you're saying they changed that? Still haven't heard back and I submitted my registration about 45 minutes after the site went live pretty much cause I thought you couldn't pre-purchase.

Mine was bought before the site went live and yeah any purchases after april 30th is good apparently

I waited as well. They seem to feel they can keep up with the demand for codes though, it's just taking them a long time to manually verify things. The order in which they verify seems odd to me. I'm sure there's some kind of sorting involved to speed things up, but from an outside perspective all we can see is people that submitted at various points getting accepted before others that got in line first and it can be frustrating. Good luck getting your code and hope it gets to the front of the line soon!

It's probably a mixture of when the receipt is received, and how easy it is to verify the receipt. IE: if it's a walgreens receipt that SAYS butterfinger and was submitted like a few minutes after the promo went live, it'll probably go through faster than if it was submitted an hour or two later, or versus a receipt that says "CANDY" with a sku or something.

Got the email with the code 30+ minutes ago and it was instantly sent to me once I put the code in.
i sent my receipt 45'ish minutes after the event started, you can check my prior post here. The mount sparkles when not flying and plays default mount music... I love it

Assuming you can get a code, it should work. Basing this off of when they released the same mount in Japan, the code worked globally.

The codes being distributed from the Butterfinger promotion are not region locked. NA, EU and JP accounts can redeem them.

We don't know. In general, past promotions have gone from JP to NA and then to EU. This chain was broken however with the last promotion for the Black Fat Chocobo where EU never got a promotion. Traditionally EU has also had some notably problematic promotions and it seems to be hard for SE to nail down brands promotions that will work over the large array of countries that exist in the region.

I also have not gotten an email back despite submitting on the 3rd, my receipt being very clear... and from Walgreens so it says "Butterfinger". :(

I got my code this morning, and turned it in on the day of the promo about an hour after it went live. :)
It was Walgreens with Butterfinger clearly on the receipt.

Maybe! I know they amended it so people could use receipts from April 30th and on, or if people bought online (wish I done this) then they could submit right away.
I had to go to three different stores to even find butterfingers for some reason, and I actually thought the promo started at 12pm Pacific time. Oops! lol.
What’s getting to me are the people who submitted way, way after I did and got their code in 2 hours. It seems they are not reviewing them in the order they received.
Here’s hoping they just got hit hard with mass emails and/or had to wait for more codes from SE.
