You mean the same thing they've done with every single one of the $200 statues?
You mean the same thing they've done with the soundtracks (a song nobody else can have, that they can walk into a FC, put on the playlist, and show off)?

How do you even go outside lol?
Look! A nice car! They have more expendable income than me, how dare they!
Someone coming out of a fancy restaurant! Don't they realize how I'll feel seeing they ate nice food?! They're wicked!
Oh my God the inhumanity! They're wearing brand name clothing! This is truly unacceptable!
So this morning while making my GC turn-ins in Ul'dah, I saw someone idling near the aetheryte doing the floating pose from the statue emote. "Neat", I thought as I went about my business completely unfazed that someone has something that I don't. It did remind me of this thread and OP though so there's that I suppose, so you might want to stay out of Ul'dah for a while until they either log or stop being afk.
OP is just sour grapes. best to let this thread die at this point now.
I just want the statue to become available..I don't mind paying $200 for an emote.
I do not mind dropping 200+ bucks for an emote but I do hop if or when they do another run they fix that face paint job. Stuff of nightmares
I mean sure it is a bonus item but the statue should have the same care put into it.
If I was a new player and was told someone paid $200 for an emote I'd laugh at them, not revere or be jealous of theme. While its nice to support the company, its not something I'd be proud of flexing with specifically.
First, Genshin Impact is a gatcha game. It\\'s whole business model is based on that and currently there\\'s no cosmetics you can buy for it. The only cosmetic items are glider wings and they are all earnable in game save for the special set you get for playing on PS4.
Second, the statue is very obtainable. You buy it. Period. The emote is a nod to collectors who are willing to part with that kind of cash for merch tied to the game. If you really want to complain about exclusive items, there\\'s Savage and PvP exclusive gear that I will never ever have access to because of difficulty and lack of commitment. It is available in game but yet still completely unobtainable to me. I bought the Odin statue so I have the Zantetsuken emote. When I use it, it is for my own enjoyment, not to mock anyone and it\\'s no less than I\\'ve seen Savage players do with the mounts they\\'ve gotten from said content.
They deserve those things for the effort they put forth, just as I deserve my emote for working my ass off for the money to buy the item it came with. The problem is not that they are exclusive, YOUR problem is you are not willing to put forth the effort to obtain them. That\\'s not on the developers. That\\'s on you.
Showing everyone you paid $200 USD for a statue with no worth in-game and an emote that you can idle with? That's a status symbol? You've got weird priorities, mate. If I saw someone with it I'd just say "oof" and keep walking. I spent that much on a custom controller, and someone spent that same amount for an emote? I'm not jealous of that at all, lmao.
It's a PS4 controller with a different shape from the stock DS4, as well as paddles on the back, all of which I prefer because it's easier on my hands as I have joint problems. Plus, I bought a new first-party PS4 controller in 2019 and it came defective, but it was minor so I went to fix it myself, and it all but fell apart in my hands. I was tired of spending ~$70 on cheaply made controllers that break so quickly, so I invested in a quality controller that will last, which it has.
It's not just a fancy design on an otherwise standard controller, so it's kind of different from what I assume you think it is. It's for accessibility, not flair.
At least it's not like when paid for emotes first went into the cash shop. Like, literally everyone around me bought them while complaining, and then basically had parties with spamming them. /playdead and /backflip. Then by the time the peer pressure got to me, they'd lost interest in the "outrageously" overpriced emotes, and I was sore for a little bit.
These emotes should be rare enough that you won't see them that often. Also makes me wonder though, are the statue emotes of today and yesterday account wide? They'd better be for that price tag lol.
Wow. You must be BIG  at people like myself then.

Keep on being salty and moving the goalposts in the topic as others have mentioned. Don’t blame us for your poor financial choices and decisions.
None of which changes Valkyrie's original point. A good many people will still call that a waste of money no matter how you describe it because, at the end of the day, it's a luxury item with subjective value. You're defending your purchase while mocking someone else's.
....A luxury item with subjective value? I have arthritis. It's literally because I have a chronic illness, and the stock PS4 controller hurts my hands because of the placement of the left analog stick, among other things. Why are you getting so angry at someone for explaining that they spent the same amount on a controller for disability reasons that someone is whining about having to spend to get an emote. I don't care if people spend that much on the statue as a collector's item, that's their choice, and I'm not "mocking" it. I'm mocking people that whine that other people have an expensive emote that they want.
Boy, people on the forums here really like to twist things. You're really good at it. Imagine saying accessibility is a waste of money and a "luxury".
You okay man?
This is the quote can be viewed as you mocking people for their purchase. May not have been your intent but it can be viewed as such.
Also for many accessibility products can be seen as a luxury since depending on the quality and impact on the person's life they sre sold at a premium. I do get where you are coming from but many accessibility products that could change the lives of many in need cannot be afforded by many. So in the modern sense they could be seen as a luxury item. Even though I disagree but I will not say the indoor elevator lift I installed for my father in their house is not a luxury.
For many luxury does not equate nessesaity.
I wonder how many people will it take to place you back into horny jail again
I thought this was gonna be about how stupid it is to have paid emotes in a subscription based game.
Turns out it's entirely about OP's ego. You probably complain about Top 100 rewards in the Feast too, huh?
Can you imagine spending $200+ on an emote?! Its so dumb! Good thing I bought a statue for $200+ instead, came with a free emote too!
Unfortunately, there are people out there who probably only bought that statue for the emote. Even so, I've seen the emote a few times. Not all that impressive to be honest.
"Yay, I can float in place while holding a glowing sword!"
Yeah, well, I can stand on the ground and do the same thing. :p
You're right, it doesn't. "Luxury" is usually equated with something that's enjoyable, but not required. You contradict yourself with that statement. I do need a different controller to be able to play comfortably. It's expensive, but not a luxury. I also can't help but notice you didn't agree or disagree with them saying it's a waste of money or "subjective". Convenient. Just fixate on what I said and not them saying accessibility is a waste of money.
Either way, if you actually read the part of my post you quoted, you'd see that I mocked people that bought it solely for the emote. I also said that I don't believe buying the statue as a collector's item is a waste, just that buying it solely for the emote because it's a "status item" is. You know, the OP's entire point. Don't bother quoting me about what I said on a specific subject if you're not going to include everything I said.
You know what is a luxury? Spending $200 USD on an emote. Not required, but potentially desirable by some. Not needed to play, gives no gameplay advantage, etc. Actual luxury. Different from a tool for accessibility, no matter the cost.
I was in agreement with ya I do not think it is fair or should be seen that way. Just the reality of how people view it though. I said for many luxury does not equate necessity. Even if it is necessary for you some may not see it that way. Like with the lift I got for my father. For many that may seem like overkill but for him it was life changing. Though I will not say the lift is not a luxury item cause it is not many could afford to put an an multi tier lift in their home. Your other quote is kinda irrelevant cause the part that was quoted could be seen as mocking others.
Just because you changed your tune does not change how one could view what you first said as mocking. In the end necessity can be seen as subjective, for some a car is a luxury item but for others it is a way of life. For many people in the US healthcare is a luxury even though it is a necessity.
Is this an out of season April fools post?
This is the equivalent of 2 guys rolling up to a stoplight - one in a Toyota Corolla and one in a BMW M3... the Corolla owner sees the M3 and thinks they shouldn't be allowed to have that car b/c it is so much better and faster, while the Corolla owner sadly doesn't have the means to afford the M3 so thinks no one should be able to own one. Only in the mind of the OP is this oppression - in most other normalized psyches it is just the natural order of capability vs. mediocrity. And really...$200 is only 15 McDonald's dinners for 1, or 50 daily Starbucks, or 2 fancy dinners....save up if you want something, or don't^^
I didn't "change my tune", I elaborated. I did not change my stance. And yes, it was mocking, and still is. Paying $200 for the emote alone because you think it will make others think you're cool is stupid. People spend huge amounts of money on items to collect them, and that's a separate thing that I'm not referring to. I spent $40 on a single Pokemon card once, because I like to collect certain ones. Paying $200 USD for a statue because you like to collect them is not what I'm referring to. How many times do I have to rephrase it for you, despite saying the same thing every time?
That is the thing you are mocking someone for how they spend their money yet you have admitted to spending money on items that others may need unnecessary or stupid. Don't you see the comparision that can be drawn from that? Sure it your eyes it may seem reasonable but to someone else it may not.
The reason why someone buys something is kinda moot cause we truly cannot know for certain why someone bought something so mocking them for something we cannot confirm or deny is kinda silly don't you think?
This is a simple case of one should watch what they say if they do not want it to be taken out of context cause your first post was straight up mocking people for a purchase that you personally view as dumb. Then you get defensive when someone mocks a purchase that you have made they think is odd cause your reasons hold merit while others may not. I get your purchase for your controller is a necessity but still does not mean for some else it may seem silly, or a waste of money etc . . . And it seemed like you did not like when someone called your purchase odd because of your own personal reasons so if that is the case maybe you should not mock or call other people's purchases odd stupid or whatever cause you believe to know the reason why.
Even people that buy items just to flex they may also do it as a means to make themselves feel good. One can disagree and mock others spending habits but let us not get defensive when others disagree or mock our purchases.
All this coming from a gunpla nerd. I pay a exsporentant amount of money to a company for the right to put together and paint my own figures.
Sounds like you have much bigger problems than an emote in a video game.
I don't see the problem here, it is a collectors item, the statue itself would even gain some value over time, that it is offered is an unique thing, that most other games can not grant, look at it like those people that has collected toys the entire life and more.
Or rare paintings... classic cars... and more.
Clearly they are if you’re crying this hard about pieces of plastic. You posted on a public forum so anyone has “the right” (as you amusingly put it btw) to criticize you especially if the basis of your point is that you’re too poor (haha) to afford any of them. Ask mommy or daddy for their credit card and you might get one if you’re a good boy this year for Christmas.
It wasn't about the emote for me. I have been saving to buy one of the statues since forever. I wanted Odin but hadn't reached my goal by the time he sold out. I finally gave up hope of a rerun and purchased Omega. Why? Eventually this game will close down. The statue is a nice thing I can keep on my shelf as a momento when it has. Go ahead, put the emotes in the shop, they're fun little extras but I bought the statue for the statue. Maybe if I am lucky with timing I might get Shiva too. Who knows, maybe my dream will come true and Odin will get a re-release. Who knows, maybe you'll be able to buy it if they re-release Omega in the future.
I realize I'm lucky, that I have the luxury of being able to buy a moderate frivolity now and again, but I'm not out here to lord it over anyone.
