Forum, i love storms, i love to dance in the rain, thunder or even feel hyper when i hear a torando around me. Ive always loved storms when others panic on them i don't i get rlly rlly rlly happy. As for last part that cuz i am a fae
Ark Domain my name in game.
So basically Ark i've picked up from the a game from SNES by Enix called Terranigma, where is the name of the protagonist.
Domain is a name that my friend generally use, and i was without ideas, so i decided to use this name
Samniel is a made-up, gender-neutral middle point between Samuel and Samantha, with the Angelic suffix -el for good measure. Atkascha is Ivalician Royalty from FF Tactics.
My forum name...is kind of a long story: It's one of my characters, a spellcaster titled "The White Archmage" for his mastery of Light Magic and his pure white robes. But I was remembering that I used that name in the Nuklear Power forums, I wanted to call myself White Mage since that was my favorite job, and obviously it was taken. Given I was, like, 13 back then, I guess I thought Archmage sounded cooler? Then I just stuck with it.
two animes, I like as one name Gungrave and Hellsing and boom Gungrave Hellsing.
Karen Brightflower came from me just liking K names in general. (And before Karen became a big meme on the internet, or at least before I was aware of it.) And me making a generic surname for her.
My new main Nyr Ardyne was just me playing around with sounds and liking what I came up with.
Hehe, I had some original names back in WoW when I was a kid too.
I think I was around twelve or something, names like '' Utherpaladin '' ( wow Uther from Warcraft 3 + Paladin the class, very original ).
One name that I got pretty upset about losing tho was '' Hitwoman '' on my Hunter.
As in '' Hitman '', because I had been playing that game and my Hunter was a Night Elf Female ( also very original ).
I thought I was the smartest person on earth for coming up with that all on my own.
Blizzard made me change it because someone in Trade Chat misinterpreted it as uh, something else and reported me <_<.
Chimrit is an old name that I originally invented for FFXI. It doesn't have any particular significance, I just wanted something relatively short and easy to to pronounce with pleasant (to me anyway) phonetics. It became my usual moniker in online games because I rarely see anything similar and I've never seen someone with the exact same name. V'thari is a nod to the lore and much newer.
My EQ2 main. Ivec
I was drunk in 2008 trying to be edgy and make my blood elf sound hardcore and mispelled Puremalice.
- Katarh Mest: I wanted a Moonkeeper name that was lore appropriate and easy to spell. I'm not a Moonkeeper any more, but I still like the name.
- Magical Grandmother and Body Count: Both Hellsguard Roegadyn. Both lore accurate. HG Roes have the best names!
- Anzu Waterkeeper: Lore accurate(ish) name for a Hingan Raen Au Ra.
- Ornlona Wistuwyn: Lore accurate name for a Seawolf. Quite literally the shortest one I could make within the rules.
- Taprara Rara: Lore accurate Lala gal name.
The common factor in all of these was being lore accurate, but also unique. None of these names were created using the name generator, but instead using the naming convention rules discussed in the Lore sections of the forums.
Metal Veins
Metallium was an old name i used from Slayers. People just shortened it to Metal
Veins cause its three meanings worked perfectly with Metal
I wanted my name to representing something fiery or a volcano. Chardut had Char in there, dut I just threw in as an ending. Mazzma = Magma.
Dumb Q.
Is there a way to actually change the characters name? Or no, I'd assume for accountability reasons.
Not that I want to, I was just surprised when fantasia didn't let you way back when, since other games' recustomizing lets you.
I gave my name absolutely zero thought. Just being honest here.
In game?
Yes (though it costs real money).

On the forums?
I don't think so.
Well, gym teacher in high school called me Septonyte, guy was almost always in a good mood and gave people nicknames as a way of familiarity to encourage them (the name is a variation of my IRL last name). It was catchy and I decided to use it as my online name almost everywhere. When I found I needed two names in FF14 I decided to go with Aria Septonyte when I started. I was a bard main when I started and thought I was being clever with the name Aria as a bard and I had never seen anyone else with that name before in any game (spoiler: I wasn't that and I started to see the name EVERYWHERE). Well, I did start off as a Seeker of the Sun and, after learning of the lore in this game and Seeker naming conventions I decided to drop the Aria and work with what I had. Thus the name S'epto Nyte was born.
Mine has some history for myself (after continuously playing XI since 2002, and on/off around post Seekers of Adoulin expansion ages later). Characters name is Shikaree Sinhunter. A former member of the Shikaree tribe that hunts down Sin hunters (some of my favorite Mithra's in the game!). She was a native of Altana for many years. In her early line of work, she's seen it all-- saved empires (ToAU), saved the past from apocalypse (WOTG), stopped Shadow lords from arising (SL rank 5), saved the world a couple times over (RotZ & CoP), among many other things. After having saved the world plenty of times, took a boat for another adventure (looking to end up back in NORG), and somehow ended up on a Pirate boat to a foreign place called "Limsa Lomsina". Luckily, she was used to pirates, so she adapted as best as she could as "an adventurer" with no gil to her name in this land. Signed up for guild access, and the rest became history.
In the years that passed, she forgot about her time in Altana eventually-- and focused on the here and now with Eorzea. Until she met a woman named Iroha, who gave her some memories of time to look back on-- only to end up in another world shortly down the line (shadowbringers). She continues her adventures today, and will until her next call or coming of time.
I usually make a game character name starting with the letter J. and I usually like to have the letter r in there as well.. for reasons.
Jahro sounds like something a beast cat thing would say; kinda growly like.
Katika means "The Tiger" in the language of my people!
Xenosan moniker for most game related forums/chats since early 2000s (Xenogears fanboy), up until Discord/Twitch days.
I've always named characters after existing game favorites or names that stood out to me, FF11 characters were Ramsus from Xenogears, Darius from Morrowind, then Gaffgarion from tactics. When XIV was free to play got Gaffy again and stuck with it. Knew there'd be a DRK job eventually anyway that I'd main.
I've had a few people got excited about the name "Mango Durango", and it's a little embarrassing since it came literally in an hour... I found the generated names not grand enough for an RPG protagonist, and after asking a few friends, apparently Lalafell PCs have this food theme going on. Luckily, plainsfolk have the least restrictive canonical name pattern, so the name is almost lore friendly, but had I known better I might have picked something with less real world references - but then, it wouldn't be as cute.
I just wanted something that got people to laugh at the beginning of dungeons. So I choose Server Limitations. Funny enough I had the name for so long people legit call me Server like a first name even in real life. Now if I changed my name it'll be odd cause everyone I know knows me as -Server-.
a final fantasy XIII area / music that i really love
It's not exactly a complicated story.

It comes from one of my favorite OC.
- Rein: derives from 'Rain' which refers to his tendency to interpret his surrounding in a gloomy way & hinting his mortal birthplace's climate. Also a naming custom.
- eon: an indefinite, or very long period of time. Refers to his proficiency in ancient arcanes & esoteric knowledge while additionally hinting his celestial age.
- Osborne: means 'godly/divinely being.'. Refers to his celestial background and full extent of his capability.
The only reason I did not include the middle name because I don't like how the name would look like if I try to add a 'space' by using ['] or similar symbols :p So I shorten it into 'Reiner' and deleting the 'eon', which would only make sense! Because the law of universe in world of FFXIV and the world he hailed from works differently!
Step closer, children, and listen to the story of two warriors who fell in love while fighting for their dreams and the tragedy that nearly tore them apart forever.
All of my characters have two "i" in them and it has been that way since Star Wars Galaxies as live. "Zenjii" was the name of my first Pandaren when Mists of Pandaria came out. It's not my most used name out of the 20 or so that I use. But, it has become one of my favorites.
Xenoblade Chronicles introduced me to my favorite antagonist of all time. Cannot say why without heavy spoilers.
Tyss - short for Tyssen - is just the spelling I chose for the way a little 3 yr old said my rl name when I worked daycare way back in the day. It became my internet name.
I've been using this name in various games for decades. First time using it was in an old dungeon crawler RPG during the NES era.
I have an obsession with Sumer and all things Sumerian, so naturally my main character had to pay tribute to it. :)
Bump
I'm sure many of the new players have delightful stories about what all went into their characters name.
Please everyone, tell me more~
Mine has been age old from bout 1997/98'ish inspired by two foreign exchange students we housed who brought over a small collection of "The Slayers" and me at the very start of my hearing loss (wouldn't bee until 10years later when it fully goes away) - when they kept saying Lina Inverse; from the two and in show seemed like a play on the word universe. Figured it was a nifty thing, more so after falling in love with what I could immerse myself in, a short redhead with a bit of teenage temper getting into shenanigans. My life in an anime!? Yes please. Though it wasn't. We eventually (all three of us) created our own Spear wielding Magic Caster Bad Girl with a summoned lackey OC for the series. Our own terrible fan-fiction and character to throw into the group. It was bad. Really bad. Well the character was awesome, but the rest... yeah left in the past - something, something crush on Gourry at the time.
Me and one used to play the Viola (and occasionally violin, but mainly Viola) the other, introduced us to Final Fantasy - starting off with FFIV - Kain, a Dragoon. Unknowingly the foreshadowing to come at the time we combined the two elements. Our enjoyment for the string instrument; Viola, and instead of being total fangirls, we opted to steer away from Viola Kain and opted with his weapon. The Lance. Viola Lance; a name all three of us use for our game files and adventures - It wasn't until a few months later after they returned home to japan, one of them contacted me pointing out we completely missed what the name sounded like to them; Viola Lance... Violence. ME thinking, No... Viola, its French... VoilĂ . Right? Nope. A small spelling error and completely not saying the name of the instrument I used to play correctly for years. It suddenly dinged in my head... It's not Wah-lah'Ans it was truly Vi-A-lens... violence, Viola Lance. Meh. Details. The name stuck, and has been a staple in my characters for games ever since that offer a Summoner / Mage and Spear wielding Melee for a job/class. A fun word play inspired by a simple anime that I could and still immerse myself in - and more so here now ever since FFXI (Kujata Server) being SUM/BLM, BLM/RDM, DRG/SAM and PUP/SAM.
Cyric is a god from Forgotten Realms, a campaign setting for the Dungeons & Dragons (D&D). He is a deity of strife and deception, and the greater god of conflict and murder, as well as lies, intrigue and illusion. I really think his histories hylarious, and I like his unholy symbol so much.
Eladriel IDK... probably another invention from my head
Astra means star. I like stars and it's my favorite skill in Fire Emblem.
Ipheion is a type of starflower. I like that they come in many colors, so I can dye my WOL's hair in different colors to stay in theme to her name.
My Duskwight is Gale Valerian which I intended to sound as Final Fantasy as possible (Latin/Roman surname, weather related first name).
I like to think his birth name was Galeneau.
My names are my own creations but they are inspired from https://www.fantasynamegenerators.com/ or from real world names.
Cheers
