They can’t have I subbed for two reasons. (1) their god Asmongold plays the game now and (2) if they did they would lose their house which they specifically keep to lord over others as a status symbol.

I wouldn't mind having more male options than choosing the amount of protein shakes you drink every day and being a 2ft tall potato. It's kind of sad that as a 40yr old man a female miqo'te or female au'ra look more like me in physical proportions than any male model in the game... I would just need to stuff a bra and tuck it...

As a catgirl I beg to differ. My glam is as close to the late Victorian Early Edwardian look I prefer in real life as I have been able to find so far in game. You cannot tell ME I am showing too much skin/fur.

I generally just wear full armor sets or outfit sets. I'm surprisingly picky about the skin/fur I show when it comes to glamours. Though I tend to prefer cute looks over sexy or risque in most situations.

I just close my eyes and say the lords prayer when some pixelated harlot tries to poison my soul with her exposed flesh.

This is basically only done to womens bodies too, while with men people basically only treat the actual genitals as sexual and even then they're often treated as comedic in nature in a lot of contexts.

Those completely pointless shirtless scenes in movies are not there to cater to hetero men, they're there to cater to women and gay men.
It's always funny ( and irritating ) to me too how easily people will say that women are dressing like '' strippers '' but then people have no problems with men who look like they came straight from the set of the Magic Mike movie and actually dress and look like real life male strippers do.
And things like breasts are a secondary sex characteristics, in terms of sexuality they're literally the same as mens chests or abs. But people basically treat them like genitals which they're not.

I do think that obviously people are going to look at bodies in sexual ways, my issue is moreso that people only do it from a hetero male-centric lens and nothing else.
And instead of expanding it in the West there has just been this obsession with erasing that.

Ultimately this is contextual and a matter of pov, if you're not sexually attracted to womens bodies then in your eyes it's not going to be sexual but Jason Momoa with his shirt off might be really sexy and the equivelant of a well-endowed woman with lots of cleavage.
But this always gets framed from literally ONLY one perspective.
And even so things can be more than one thing at the same time, you can find a design that is sexual even from your pov to be cool too.
I mean Bayonetta for example is a VERY sexual character her whole identity revolves around it, but she's also a really cool character.

This game is full of sexual violence and genocide.
I am playing the game through on NG+ atm and I was surprised by how much of that there is.
And that's not even getting into things like people being sold into sexual slavery too.
It's clearly described in ARR how a guys mother and sister jumped off a cliff to avoid Garlean soldiers doing bad things to them that they had done to them in captivity before that.
This is all over the story.

If you think that a womans ass is the problem in terms of rating then I have to seriously question your priorities.

Edit: Also I always hear the people complaining about this kind of content go on about how it's supposedly only '' pandering to horny teenage boys ''.
So which is it?
Is it for teenagers or is it not?
One second it's for teenagers the next second it's for adults, this seems to just arbitrarily swift to whatever suits peoples arguments.

You can either move your personal line a bit and relax about the issue, or you can hold steadfast and spend the rest of your life arguing against revealed flesh. Up to you, but I hope for your sake you take the easier route, because arguing with society about this is futile.

(*Yes, a small number of people do not want to eat (anorexia), some people aren't driven to sleep (insomnia), some people cannot void properly due to a physical defect, and some people are asexual. These are minor exceptions to the basic human needs that virtually all of us have.)

People arguing about ratings is just ridiculous to begin with.
Like I said this game is full of mature content that plays a repeated and very significant part of the story.

This game is rated T because it's very tame in terms of blood, language and ultimately there is no actual nudity and 99.9% of gear is very covering.
But the actual story itself is very adult.

I really wish people could stop acting like teenagers are babies too.
Whether people like it or not teenagers are already thinking about and/ or having sex.
I do have problems with the sexualization of minors in a lot of Japanese media I do think it's problematic.
But lets not pretend as if teenagers are like being scarred for life because they saw a butt.

In a lot of European movies too nudity is fairly common, there's a ton of Swedish movies where people are running around completely in the nude that are considered perfectly fine for kids and stuff like nude beaches.

To your point, I watch a lot of foreign television, and when it comes to television in the UK, Europe or Australia, they have very little problem with nudity and sex. Yes, there's the "watershed" (I dunno if they even call it that these days, but they used to; that's the hour (9pm?) after which showing nudity or using quite foul language is just fine for major TV broadcasting networks.) but by and large if there's a random butt or breast on TV, no one goes nuts.

It's quite literally the exact opposite of how we Americans all freaked out to the max because Janet and Justin's Superbowl routine revealed that she actually has a breast! Who would have thunk?!? Lol. (And I use "we" collectively; I didn't personally have any other reaction than a slight eye-pop.) Regarding that particular event, it's amazing what the power of a half-revealed breast can do. Timberlake and Jackson still argue to this day - seventeen years later - that they had a "wardrobe malfunction," when it was obvious to anyone paying attention that their routine was planned. "Gonna have you naked by the end of this song," and the fact that the bra cup had snaps on it, and the fact that she was wearing a pastie... yeah, come on. It was planned, it was half a breast, and those that say it was inappropriate given the circumstances are complete hypocrites, since the commercials during the event showed more breast than Janet did.

My gosh, I digress. Sorry bout that.

Anyway, yeah, some partial nudity or even full nudity doesn't turn people into raving sex lunatics. Those lunatics are that way because they are mentally ill and need help, not because some video game they played when they were fourteen showed an exposed butt cheek.

Yeah, if that is the case then I still fall back on mental illness. A video game should not be making anyone into anything. A mentally healthy human being should be able to see nudity, even in real life - nevermind a video game - and then go on to be a fairly well-adjusted, productive member of society.

Absolute positive side of playing on sp4 is that the hunk of junk can hardly load all the slutglams around limsa's aetheryte. My brain does not ever have to work to parse out the wish fulfilment glams of everybody.

Pity though, that the same limitation makes me miss all the cayboys and lizardboys at the cost of catgirls, lizardgirls, viera and hrothgar. Well, it is a fair trade.

Those glamour you dont like are petfect example of ff14. Clown vs badass boss who in realityn is pathetic nobody with 0 skills to stop anybody, even a clown. Truly insipirng to see all those "hardcore msq villans!" Who get served by 2 or 3 things dressed like those on screenshot.

All of you are non-canon to my story anyway. Those weird glamours are just delusions caused by the same head trauma that caused Iyami to give Leviathan two heads and Titan a four-wheeler.
