The "or after" is killin' me. I was in 2.0 early access and haven't let my sub lapse once. Still waiting for my Falcon...
I think the month by month subs are screwing with it. My sub renewed a few days before the first rollout, and I got it.
I turned my sub back on about a week before Stormblood, so, I cleared the 90 days in time, but why do I have it but some many other entry tier subs not? I don't think anyone is going to miss it if the renewal occurs before 9-30, but are they purposely holding some back?? We all should qualify equally for it.
I renewed on September 4th, which puts me getting it in October.
My question is, when does mogstation tell me I'm eligible for it?
What they really should do is let players know within 24-48 hours of being eligible IMO
Tfw you pay for the last 30 of the 90 required on Sept 1., missing the August cutoff by one full day. By the time Oct. 5 rolls, I think 4.1 will be out so this is fair timing.
The question is who knows? I had asked in the beginning of the campaign and everyone told me "after Sept 5" and by the time OF ROLLING IT OUT, it's a bit too late if people are hoping to get it Oct 5. Not like you can add game time for a Sept 30 deadline if you don't know until afterwards.
I had 164 days count for it July 1. It didn't show up July through August. September 4th still never showed it. September 5th 9AM PDT and it was on mogstation.
So... yeah.
I feel your pain. I'm two days short. I had originally subbed for 3 months on May 31st and let that lapse a tiny bit once it expired. I just resubbed a few days ago, but went with the 1 month option this time (forgot about the falcon campaign).
I think my only option now would be to buy 60 day time cards to add to the account. Kinda lame as that's more expensive than my legacy pricing.
Does the mount do anything special? :P
I never did a three-month subscription and have just had it on recurring one-month payments, so I was a little surprised to have gotten the mount.
I'm super confused about this whole process.
I came back in anticipation of Stormblood and resubbed for 90 days on June 10th (the campaign was announced a week or so later if I recall).
My sub just renewed today (for another 90 days), and I got my veteran rewards in the mail, but no sign of the mount yet.
What gives?
It's not a veteran reward. If you resubbed today, that means you get the mount on October 5. The cutoff for the September falcon mounts was having 90 days paid for during July 1 - July 31. If you subbed 90 days on June 10, that means you only had 70 days count to it and have to wait.
I have mine set up to charge my CC every 3 months and so far no mount yet (my sub was set up like this the day I joined a couple years ago) :(
Nope. This mount is nothing to get excited about. Aside from ensuring that you get what is supposed to be coming to you via the subscription, the mount itself is only a novelty because of the nostalgia factor. You'll probably say "oh neat" for about ten seconds and then bury it in your mount collection with the others.
Haven't seen anything in the mail. I have a 6 month recurring charge and haven't missed a payment since back to 1.0 ... I just updated my cc expiration date, etc., during all these years of being a loyal customer. Last time they charged me was for 6 months back on Mar 30, 2017. This means the next renewal date is September 30, 2017. Does this mean I'm screwed out of this? I really don't understand the eligibility requirements, because it looks like it was written by a team of lawyers (anyway you slice it, SE can be off the hook on any number of technicality) Stormblood was pre-ordered and registered long before (like back in February) so that's not an issue, either.
Silly as it is, the eligibility only counts from July 1st onward. So despite having a six month sub, it's only calculating two for the event itself. When your sub renews on September 30th, that'll make you eligible when they give out the second batch. Just make sure your sub is renewed on the 30th before 11:59 PDT and you'll be fine. If it won't for whatever reason, buy a time card and apply it. Since you already have two months going (July through to current), that should be enough.
Veteran rewards ended after the Leon outfit due to how long the time requirements were. They've since shifted to concurrent log-in events. In order to be eligible for the Falcon mount, you need to have 90 days paid sub applied to your account between July 1st and September 30th. Say, for example, you paid for a six month sub in May. That means even July rolls around, you'll still have four months remaining on that sub, thus you're immediately eligible. If, like in Discordia's case above, your current sub doesn't have enough time left before renewal. You will need to wait for said renewal or apply a time card to make up the difference. In your case, you'll also need to renew your sub before September 30th. It should be up tomorrow, yes? So just keep what you have and you'll get the Falcon next month.
Still a little confused about this. I did my normal automatic 6 mo renewal on 12 Apr 2017 which takes me to 11 Oct 2017. Bought and registered the Stormblood Collectors edition. Should I have received this mount?
You'll receive it next month. Your current sub would apply two months towards the event (July and August) since it only counts from July 1st onward regardless of prior sub time and the first cut off point was August 31st. The second cut off point is September 30th, thus you'll be eligible.
Hope that helps. :)
Oh good, I might not get it at all then. I've never unsubbed my 90 day renewal, and my subscription was meant to renew mid-September. But it looks like they handed out the free 15 days of sub time for leveling an alt to 30+ on a Road to 60 server. Now my sub renews on October 1st.
lol? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is odd.. its the 9th.. Still havent seen my mount and Ive had SB on day 1 and been here for a year... hrm. Anyone else seeing a delay too?
They don't count any time paid for prior to July 1st. If you paid for 90 days on June 30th (and all months were 30 days, let's make it easy) you would only have 89 days paid as they would not count June 30th, but would count July 1st until the end of the subscription. When you renew on Sept 30, you will then have you 90 day of time and be eligible. You will get your mount on Oct 5th.
Pixie. I think you missed the part of me being subbed for a year. Or translation. This account has been here since LAST Yokai event. ;)
There are two designated time periods in which you have to have reached 90 days of paid subscription time in. July 1 - August 30 or 31st (they just said end of august) was the first period in which qualifying accounts were sent theirs on Sept 5. July 1 - Sept 30 is the second period which qualifying accounts will receive their mount on Oct 5. They send out on the designated days, not immediately. :)
As usual SEs eligibility requirements are as clear as mud. My subscription have been active since day 1 of Ver 1.0. My current renewal runs from 12 April 17 to 11 Oct 17. So as of 1 July I had 102 days left on my current subscription. I should have qualified for the Sept release but apparently I do not. As I plan to allow my subscription to renew automatically on 12 Oct 17 will the fact that I only have 2 weeks left on my current sub as of 30 Sept 17 disqualify me? Official clarification from SE would be greatly appreciated. BTW I preordered and registered the Stormblood Collectors edition as of 20 June 17.
From the "Fly the Falcon Mount Campaign" as posted on the Lodestone: "If you have remaining subscription time that was purchased before the campaign period, or you have an active recurring subscription, we will calculate any remaining game time available as of Saturday, July 1, towards the campaign." http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/mount_...mount_campaign
As noted, time applied to the event only counts from July 1st onward. Your current sub made you ineligible for September since it'd put you at only 60 days (July through to August). You'll receive the mount next month as September will be applied, bringing the total to 90 days.
Like Dusty said. You need to have reached 90 days between the two designated windows. The event ignores any prior sub time. Say you subbed for three months in June. It would only counts July through to August, making you ineligible for the September giveaway. When you renew that sub, it'll include September, thus making you eligible for the October giveaway.
Except he would have had over 90 days of paid time as of July 1 if it were a 180 day subscription that renewed on April 12. He should have qualified for the first round which sounds like there may be a bug. In this instance I would probably first make sure to clear out the character's in-game mailbox (including old/read mail) and then hit that button at the top to attempt redelivery of any pending items. If nothing comes though then contact support in-game and possibly leave a bug report in the bug report forum afterwards.
If you have a one year subscription that renews in September then you will not have 90 days of subscribed game time between July 1 and Sept. 30 and will have to renew on or before your renewal date to get the mount. If you have any free game time between July 1 and Sept. 30 you will have to buy a game card to make the full 90 days.
this is what is crawling all over me about this event. been subbed since 1.0 and stayed subbed when many jumped ship and gave up on the game. i and many others continued to support SE by keeping our subs going. and this is what we get? it feels like a slap in the face. of course i will probably catch heat for my opinion on this but to me. . .you don't treat people who have been through the good, bad and ugly with you like this. if this is the new reward format SE wants to go with, they are doing a disservice to long time subscribers.
and a lot of ticked off players who thought they qualified with their recurring sub.
that would clear up things for a lot of people. because it's the not knowing that is worrying a lot of us.
I asked if I'm eligible since I have a 30 day sub and received 15 days free game time when I hit level 30 on a select server. My sub started June 20th. My sub renews again on Oct 3rd. This is the response I got today.
Please note the Flight of the Falcon Campaign started on July 1, 2017 and ends on September 30, 2017. Game time purchased outside of the campaign period may not meet the requirements for the Campaign. If you have remaining subscription time that was purchased before the campaign period, or you have an active recurring subscription, we will calculate any remaining game time available as of Saturday, July 1, towards the campaign.
The requirements for the campaign is the registration of Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood and the purchase of a subscription of at least 90 days during the campaign.
Typical paste response which fails to answer my question.
I understand what you are saying but by that logic no one would be able reach 90 by the end of Aug unless they renewed for 90 days by the end of May. I renewed for 180 days in the middle of April. BTW my current subscription reached the 90 day mark by 10 Jul 2017. Going by that thinking no one should have qualified for the Sept release. I am sure that SE can justify it somehow but this is just another example of the lack of thought put into this by SE.
