It is, but someone in my FC discord copied this "'Eorzea School Uniform' will be released first on KR server (December). Unisex and Dyeable." if it's official from somewhere, the bold part infers that it will be released to us at some point.

I would LOVE ❤️ this!!!
Nothing worse than the immersion-breaking stuff we already have, so why not?
Supposedly it's Korean only for a limited time. Most likely will be placed at some point in the mog station. I love that even though it has had a name change no one calls it that. Also if you look at the crest it's the Ishgardian crest. A wee nod to the April fools day Manga they put out.
Congratz on getting your wish!
I'd rather have the Seed/BalambGarden uniform from FF8.

The Amazon things were different contest type things. As it was different for every region. Except they somehow still haven't given EU the black fat chocobo. The only Korean/Chinese outfits that I know of that haven't come to the other version's mog station is that one princess dress and the corresponding male outfit. I'm glad we'll most likely get this set. Just wish it was separate outfits and didn't just change on gender. As we still need more pants that both genders can wear.
When I hear traditional I really don't think of 'school girl' outfit but seeing the wording school girl I knew it was going to be one of the modern far shorter than normal side of the possible variants in that stereotypical skirt outfit. From what I know, and some schools do vary it, the length of the skirt isn't "that" short.
Part of me thinks 'eh' as we have so many modern outfits and wack-a-doodle things like mascots that can be worn in combat so this clearly would slide in just as if it was always there, but the other part of me wishes SE's next MMO doesn't have such a close relationship to modern tech (such that these goofy things have less of a home in the game). Giving an environment to take the game more seriously (nothing better than having an epic dungeon / first time in the story and a naked frog is in the background- feels straight out of the more crazy anime's or western shows like a Family Guy or Rick and Morty or something).
So yeah.. seems like it could fit given what've got already, but kind of hope to see SE work on a setting in the future where it wouldn't lol. . . XD.

It's the first time I've been upset that we don't have multiple dye channels. How will anyone know if I'm a first year or a third year?

WE DID IT <3 <3
PS: Happy Starlight/Christmas everyone!
O shit my wife will want this
I'm surprised how fast we got it. I was expecting for it to become available after 1 or more years
Separate sets that both genders can wear. It's a Starlight miracle.
“Mog Station.”
Meanwhile they nerf Materia sell amounts and Map rewards, and still haven’t fixed housing, Castrum or Praetorium.
Where does all the revenue go? Certainly not the extremely high quality voice acted cutscenes.
Or the limited gender locked races.
Or the lack of weapons options for the new jobs.
Or the abundance of new content and options for leveling.
Literally 1 Bozja vs 4 Eureka zones. Half the dungeons. 3/4th’s the rewards from
Maps.
But we did get sticker mode, explorer mode, and Ishgard restoration!!
Why can’t items be in-game and make use of Gil and achievements points?
We have one Bozja zone because it is the first one. We are getting more. Another will be implemented in about a month or so. I'm expecting 3 when it's all said and done, along with whatever raids they attach to them. And let's face it, very few people liked Pagos. lol I'd have been fine without having that nightmare in my life. I largely agree with you otherwise though. This expansion has been a bit of a letdown in some areas.
These are not traditional Japanese schoolgirl uniforms... But a fantasy version in the industry of many things...
There is a strict rule that says: "The skirt must always hide the knees". If this is not the case, the school calls the parents after warnings.
But it happens very often that when they leave school, some of them make a hem to make them shorter.
Just as it is forbidden to hang out on school roofs in Japan for safety reasons, it must be a shattering of dreams...
Real minimum length allowed:

heh indeed~ I never understood the roof trope. But I guess it's easier to draw.

We already have variations of that stuff
And I dislike modern based armor & would rather more sleek, renaissance style armor
"Meanwhile they nerf Materia sell amounts and Map rewards, and still haven’t fixed housing, Castrum or Praetorium."
What's wrong with them?
"Where does all the revenue go? Certainly not the extremely high quality voice acted cutscenes."
Don't you know? It all goes in this giant tower where all the piled coins does not create a hard surface, but instead allows the devs to swim in it like Scrooge McDuck.
"Or the limited gender locked races."
I know right?! Curse those devs for creating those gorgeous bunny avatars everyone asked for. They are totally to blame for acknowledging that the majority of playerbase plays female characters. Who the hell asked for Hrothgar, right? Their time is obviously unlimited, and they should have created both genders for both races, ON TIME. Jeez, what the hell are these guys doing over there?
"Or the lack of weapons options for the new jobs."
Indeed. The devs need to get their priorities straight. Old weapon glamour options is definitely where their focus should be.
"Or the abundance of new content and options for leveling."
Damn those devs! Damn them all to hell!
Ok, I will stop there. I think the point is clear.
I quoted and responded to several rants from the OP, so I'll retreat to my original point about priorities. It's not that I don't want equal treatment for the jobs in the game, and that is actually why I "reached", and expressed exactly how equal I would like them to be. But if I was to be in charge of where SE's resources are allocated and have the choice between filling the gaps in old content, or releasing new weapons for everyone, I will always choose the latter.
My response to Vahlnir applies here as well. I have no quarrel with any player who wants to vent or otherwise express their dissatisfaction within the game. In fact, I think this is extremely important. However, my air towards the OP was response in-kind to his sarcastic tone, and following by echoing issues that reek of a lack of appreciation. He even ranted about an abundance of new content at one point, and I'm just like, "really?"
Thinking back on it now, I suppose I could be missing or dismissing a portion of the playerbase willing to forego new content so the devs can fill in the gaps. However, gaps are created with every expansion, and the effort and time to homogenize previous expansions each time a new one is released is extremely costly.
