The achievements specifically state clearing the dungeon, not clearing the dungeon at appropriate levels.. So it makes perfect sense. If you're so into commendations as you say, look at the likes you have received in this thread. 0, yep, Zero. THAT is how much people agree with all that you have said and is why no one has ever brought this up. The only person who cares about this change is you, just you, and it's only you who can't see that Commendations is a screwed system that does not reflect your game play in any way shape or form.
This entire thread is you throwing your weight around saying your commendations would be higher than your dungeons if you didn't run unsynced and want the evidence to prove it, believing it would show you off as a really brilliant player. I personally know it isn't a lie whether you believe me or not since I'VE DONE IT. Multiple times. If you can somehow magically prove I am lying about the commendations I've given out then feel free to try.
I have even given people commendations on my alts just to get the challenge log EXP and no other reason or about their performance at all, it's probably a bad habit but it's just commendations in a game and I wanted my EXP so I toss it at whoever I can at the end of the dungeon.
If you do a dungeon/raid and you leave at the end and get a commendation...great, but...how do you know why they gave it to you? That's the whole point, you don't.
So you cannot judge your performance in that run afterwards properly since the commendation you got might be for a reason other than your skill/performance. You can't just assume "Oh I got a commendation I must have played my role well"...because the person who commended you might have just done it cause they liked your glamour or just to get challenge log EXP and in truth you actually were not very good or even kinda bad at you role.
Again people might give commendations to players they "think" did well at their role, but in truth they don't even have the credentials that make their praise worth taking to heart. Just like the medical student example I gave you. Did you actually read it? It clearly illustrates why you can't always blindly accept other people praising you since you don't know if they are qualified to give you constructive feedback or not about your skill at a particular task.
If it is a task they do not know how to do themselves or a task they have no experience with or knowledge about then how would they be qualified to tell you that you did well? People do praise people all the time just to be nice to others. You are supposed to understand the difference between "constructive feedback from someone more knowledgeable than you that you should take to heart" and someone who is "just being nice and supportive of your efforts despite not knowing whether you did something properly or not"
Would an in-game example make sense to you??
Example: A healer gives a tank a commendation at the end of a dungeon, but this healer has never played tank and doesn't know the game well enough to realize that tank actually never used any defensive cooldowns at all during the run. Is that tank doing a good job at his role? Most would say not since tanking is holding aggro AND mitigating damage. He got a commendation though from the healer anyway...hopefully he doesn't assume he did good because it would be false.
The healer commended him because he "thought" (subjective) that the tank did good. In reality the tank didn't use any of his cooldowns the whole dungeon. So this tank should not accept this praise because it is from someone who doesn't have enough knowledge to give him correct feedback. Since it is a random DF PUG and you see you get a commendation after you exit and it also doesn't tell you who gave it to you...then it isn't normally feasible to try to find them and ask them why they gave it to you.
You cannot use commendations to judge your skill/performance in a piece of content because of all this.
But yeah, if you gonna call people liars then I guess I'm done. You don't want to listen to reason and I guess If you wanna just keep swimming in ignorance I suppose it is your choice to do so. -

Again what do you not understand about I pay 20 dollars a month , two retainers, and for alts on this game. I am not going to be forced into doing content just because the player base feels as tho the have wiped their hands with said content. I play the way I would like to play if that means Im late to the party so be it , whos clearing these primals id say less than 50 percent of the game so to even do them period and clear is good enough for me. Ive never claimed to be the best but I can say that I am a decent player, and again if gear mattered I wouldnt of had two parties in proto ultima wipe. Im not one of those first world players I have been playing 8 months and I just got through hw story about a month or so ago. If you want to do tiers on when people cleared , then day first players are the best, people who clear right after are pretty high skilled, those whom clear later are still higher skilled than over half the player base and I am ok wit that. I dont have to be number one I just want to be good, parties cant even clear grauda extreme so gear doesnt matter as much as people would claim. Im ok with being just a above arveage and not like the people I showed in those videos. Many people in this game cant clear any extremes or any savage can barely prob even clear alex normal so Im fine with my clears I dont have to be the top and never claimed to be. -

If your comm ratio matters so much, just dont help people then. How about that? Commendations don't matter. I've already gotten the 3k reward (very lame mount by the way), and now they just pile up with no meaning. I run things unsynced and with full premades all the time. I raid with my static, I help randoms/FC people/friends, and I farm for things frequently (like birds, relics, triad cards, etc.), all usually unsynced or with a premade party, and my comms still outweigh my clears. Your post is useless. Even with unsynced clears, your comms could still outweigh your amount of clears.
Why do comms even matter so much to you? They are just a number. You don't gain anything substantial from getting a lot of them. They don't mean anything at all. You say they tell you you did a good job, but they don't. You don't know why someone gave you comm. Could be completely unrelated to your performance. I can't even tell you how many times I've given comms because I liked someone's character/name/glamour, they were nice/funny, i felt bad because my fc mates can be freaks/weirdos (sometimes scares people lol), or just because they were wearing pink (my favorite color). I can't even tell how many times I had busted my rump and saved entire runs or did a good job and I still didn't get comms. They mean nothing. Just a number. SE sure as heck do not need to add a system/setting to make the comm to clear ratio more accurate. If it seriously matters that much to you, then keep count yourself, or just dont run anything unsynced or with premades. There's a lot more important things to worry about in this game than player comms. Seriously.
If you need a meaningless number to give yourself a pat on the back or an ego boost, that's pretty sad. -

If a tank didnt lost aggro during the dungeon, he obviously did. If no one died, the healer must have done semi-fine at least. If you saw the healer tossing out dps - great, they actually did a good job! But with dps you have to run either a parser OR pay attention to what they're doing (keeping buffs up etc.)
(also let me tell you: being a good healer or tank is most of the time a lot easier than being an actual good dps - so dont think to highly about your healer-commendations... I've got about 3.600 commendations - and the ones I'm most happy about are the ones I earned as dps or in PvP because I knew that I actually impressed someone by doing more than just being a tank. Or wearing a swimsuit. Because I dont do that, frankly...)

As far as commendations go, don't worry too much about it. I earn my commendations and I don't really care how much I get because all I care about are helping others, clearing the instances, and getting rewarded (especially the Adventurer in Need Bonuses as tank. *wink) -

My example was that I had 966 commendations but had just reached 1000 instances, knowing that if unsync was not in the equation and had its on tab that it prob be more like 966 , to 700 normal instances. I just dont care for the false number of instances because even if its a level 15 guild heist to me thats more than any unsync run unless done solo.Quote:

How this got to what it was at the end I have no idea I just would prefer to see my ratio in a legit format instead of always trailing my instances when I know the reason why. I even gave the example of 1000 commendations and 1500 instances well 600 hundred of those could be unsync runs that could have their own tab, thats all I was suggestion. There really isnt anything else to it , is that I find meaning in commendations where others do not and I would rather them reflect what Ive done in duties instead of what Ive done in a totally different type of game instance. -
