Thank you for the information purrty Bomb~! Could the team consider another PvP event around then too? I've noticed my queue times were quite nice after the patch :). Probably something to do with the freelancer thing too, great addition - but can't help and think that the massive swarm around the Garo npc meant PvP is on lol.
That's good and all but any info on the MGP stuff will it be a lvl 1 set? cause as I said before there just some jobs got no real interest in lvling and if you need all them to get the 3rd horse frankly don't want to try and grind them up to 60 then grind away on more pvp gear that never be used.
I don't know if 6 months is enough time for me to get enough wins for these mounts. Judging from past experience I might need a few years.
Horses are from: (Achievement location in parenthesizes)
10 Frontline Wins (Battle > Frontlines)
30 Feast Wins (Battle > The Wolve's Den)
60 Combined Feast and Frontline Wins (Battle > Battle)
NOTE: Must have the title from the Garo vendor on to start working on these achievements. (Meaning need Head, Body, Hands, Legs, Feet, and Weapon to get the title first)
I should be able to get all the armored ponies before the event ends, but I wont be able to get the "Makai master" title since It requires having all jobs capped.

There's still a lot of time so maybe I'll go for it after I get the mounts for all my alts. Maybe.
Honestly, I think SE should consider doing a major event like this for their own IP. I'd imagine a major Dragon Quest event would be very popular.
The problem I have with this event is not the PvP it’s the fact that I need to have all jobs at 60 to be able to get all the titles. I don’t think there ever was a limited time event that required all jobs to 60. I am a slow leveller, I like to stop and smell the rose, or take a screenshot. :p It would be very nice if you didn’t need to equip the armour for achievement. :)
A few things I want to address here:
First, suiciding just to end the match and get your marks is a reportable offense. People were doing this for one of the earlier relic steps. Please do not do this.
Second, you don't NEED PvP gear for PvP. As gear gets synced down to i150 anyways, I recommend building yourself a set of gear that's at least i190 or higher (this includes your weapon) that has your preferred secondary stats. This will ensure they're capped when synced, and that you're sufficiently prepared for the fight. Gear syncs down, not up.
Third, and this is pretty important: It's one thing to participate despite disliking PvP, but if you take time to learn at least some of the basics, you'll find you may actually enjoy it. Worst case scenario, you contribute more effectively to your team winning (and thus earn more marks faster), getting you what you want so you can be done with it sooner. Going in with a negative attitude will only amplify the bad, and perhaps allow you to overlook the good. If you come in with an air of disdain and simply wanting to grind, you'll find others unsympathetic or helpful. But if you're willing to listen and cooperate, you may make new friends, and benefit from the advice and experience of regular PvPers. If you're going to participate, do so fairly, and with an open mind. You may, at the absolute worst, discover you like PvP.
Ah k thanks for that info.
But still be nice if the MGP stuff is a lvl 1 set for the achievements cause still be nice to get the titles but I know some like myself or who are newer to the game or don't got much time to play got some classes they don't want to or can't lvl to max in the time frame.
I mean myself got some classes like for one warrior find it stupid to have to lvl it to max and then get 18k wolf marks to get the gear what the same thing as the Dark Knight minus the weapon they just give it a different name that just stupid to me
Prior to this, the worst was the Lightning event, which required level 45. That was a bit ridiculous since it was for level 13 gear, but at least it only required you to be 45 in one job, not all of them.
This event needed to raise that minimum in order to give it the PvP focus (since they've removed the level 30 PvP from the game :(). But I still think they should have just set it up so that you needed a job high enough to take part in PvP (i.e. at least one job at level 50), rather than requiring an expansion and level cap in all jobs.
I'm actually really enjoying this event to be honest. I like the fact it's a nice lengthy event that doesn't require us to be rushing through it during all this new content and I like the fact it's brought life back into near dead PVP. I also find the achievement requirements for the gear and mounts more than reasonable unlike the Yokai event.
At first it looked like people really weren't trying and just wiping on purpose for the marks but slowly I've noticed more people actually trying and there have been some really good matches lately. I also find quite a few people I've talked to actually getting into PVP a little, while not hardcore into it they are enjoying something they never bothered with before.
I hope after this event we see something else. I wouldn't mind if every 5-6 months we got some sort of collaboration event like this and it can only help keep PVP going strong for awhile.
This is the first time I've seen an event punish a player for not having all Jobs at 60.
I recommend everyone spam PvP as much as possible, then once you've bought all the gear, then try to level up all your classes. Because you know in about 2 months PvP is gonna slow down a lot.
It's also so silly the time that was wasted creating i235 gear complete with stats, only to pull them away in the future. Over 100 items of gear!
Wouldn't surprise me if either.
A) They make the "event" permanent by waiting to the end to say "After careful consideration and feedback, we decided to keep the gear around."
or
B) After Stormblood is out, they'll release the Job jump potions and people will buy it to get the titles.
Question about the mount achievments please.. do you have to complete the 30 feast wins and 10 frontline wins to unlock the 3rd 1? 60 combined feast and frontlines wins
They should add ALL PVP stuff in MPG shops as an optional choice! >_>
Since PVP is NOT a thing people like!
Whenever they add another set of new stuff and its in PVP Shops I ignore and hate PVP Even more <,<
I got 2,5m MPG since we have that Casino and theres nothing to spend <,<
We dont even get something NEW to spend -.-
Always PVP, PVP, PVP, PVP, PVP... -.-
I maybe dont like PVP i killed me to get my 3 pony lol
I avoid PvP in general. That said, I am not against exclusive content for PvP'ers. Its a little frustrating at times to see things I'll never have because of my preferences, but there is literally nothing stopping me from suffering through it if I really want it. Just mute the channels and do my own thing. Actual PvP'ers will of course hate me for it, and be glad when I have the thing I want and stop PvP'ing, but hey, its not forever, right?
I'm actually very glad they did this event because it gave me a big incentive to run pvp and I'm slowly getting better at it, and starting to enjoy it quite a bit.
I just don't play well when it comes to PvP. Its not an intentional thing. I've tried in various games to, 'Get Good,' and it never works for me. I am an automatic detriment to anyone's team. Maybe I'm just one of those very rare cases of a person who just monumentally and fundamentally sucks at something and cannot improve no matter what. Its part of the reason I generally avoid PvP. Why bring down someone else's experience because of my abysmal ability at a certain aspect of the game.
I don't know whether it's his issue or not, but in PvE a lot of players rely rather heavily on learning the fight. They might be really good when they're facing mobs that they've fought before, but you never get to reach that point in PvP.
It's both a reason why many players seeking more variety like PvP and a reason why many other players who rely on a certain predictability don't.
