I want to be a good wife for my EB partner but sometimes I make mistakes like frivolous spending or forgetting to clean the stables. A good /slap help me learn my lesson so I can be a better wife, just like when your miqo'te children misbehave you need to /slap them around a little. It's just natural.

the OP probably wants to remove PvP from the game to , i mean u can be violent to other female chars there :P

oooh i just got another idea for the OP : u might want to ask SE to add some sort of shield buff around female characters which has a range of 20 yalms , when u turn it on no male characters can go past that shield, thous keeping all male characters 20 yalms away from u , unless theyre in ur friends list then they can pass :P

Everytime I see that I get wrathful. I know it's just a game, but behind every Char is a real person, and i don't want to be a witness of this mindless Violence.
And from what i have seen, there are almost only male chars who are beating female chars.
You have changed the crouch emote for female miqo'te for a good reason (too sexual), so please, remove the slap emote because of unnecessary violence against female chars.

But if their is any truth to this, then the OP needs to help their FC mate take the steps toward seeking professional help. If something as innocuous as a /slap on the back emote in a game with a good deal of violence, implied or otherwise, is setting off something, then there is some real trauma that they need to acknowledge and work on getting past.

I slap Alphinaud and Lyse all the time. Especially when they just can't stop bloviating and annoying me. Figure it's a better way to feel "better" than smashing my computer.

The only things I slap are RMT bots, friends/FC members I like and perverted Lalas that walk under my skirt/dress and target me so they get a peek. Male/female is irrelevant since this is a game and what we are IRL doesn't matter.

It kinda freaked me out that I was on top there.

What's next? Remove the quests that have us fight Gaelicats? Shark fin soup?

Mindless violence? In the game with giant gods, dragons, and demons, lore about creatures eating Lalas whole, and a whole bunch of other messed up crap, the thing thats triggering you you is "I dont like it when a player uses a particular emote! Its violence against women!!!!!"

i noticed how OP only has 3 people in their FC, wonder if its always been that way, or if drivel like this ran everyone off.

I've only ever used /slap on my friends while joking around. Also never seen it used towards me or anyone else in a negative or harassing way. I'm sure it has been, so not saying it never happens, just saying that it seems pretty rare from my perspective and that if anyone is having problems with players using this emote, there's probably other interactions between them and that person that could be considered a more reportable offense.

Although... with the length of this thread and the fact I'm only just seeing it today, no telling how old it is. I admittedly didn't look. xD

I typically slap the guildhest NPC at the end of every fight, for putting us through that bs.

Don't know about /slap, but me personally whenever i meet someone new, first things first i ask how often he or she uses /poke emote. And more important does this emote is on the quickpanel. You can never trust a person or be friends with if theres /poke emote on the quickpanel

I keep /slap on my bar when I'm playing my Lala alt for all the people who think it's funny to pet other people. I'd prefer a /kickcrotch emote... (or /punchcrotch in most cases)

When two of my friends joined, they got to about level 12-ish. Got to where the chocobo stables are in the Gridania area where you do the quest for them and such. They found out about the /slap emote.

One friend proceeded to slap his gf in the boobs for the next half hour, everyone involved losting their shite from laughing too much.

This was one of my favorite memories (mammories) from the 2.0 days
