How does that work with DF though?

I don't really have an issue with macros so long as they are few and far in between. it's only when people put them in commonly used abilites/spells that they tend to get annoying. such as putting them into a cure macro, obviously as a healer you're going to be spamming that, so you'll get annoying very quickly. I don't know about kicking someone over it. DF sessions do not last long enough to hit my nerves nor have i met any massive RP macro users, granted their have been some hardcore ones, but i tolerated them for the duration.
Hell i'v even RPed in certain times, but they are in quiet, theme looking ways, never macros. You can RP silently. unless you are desperate to catch attention.
/macroicon "Eye for an Eye"
/ac "Eye for an Eye" <t>
/wait 0.5
/ac "Eye for an Eye" <t>
/say Thine shield of Eos protect thee!
Macros are the best, and people spam parses all the time, if they get kicked for "macros" they should also get kicked (and I think banned.) for using parses.
Its not even role-play, its flavor.. I wish we had text boxes.
Y'know, I've never seen someone do that. Which is weird when you consider how blatantly it breaks the ToS to admit to using a parser in-game. I'd think people would want to shout it from the rooftops as opposed to quietly keeping it to themselves and to their voice chat.
All the time you say?
i think unless you know the group your playing with don't use macros.
the only macros i use in parties with those i don't know are
Raise macro
Virus.
Hallowed ground
a LARGE macro that displays all of my recast times for tank (only used in long farm parties where i need to use a bunch of abilities)
annnd ... a limit brake macro (which is a quote from gabranth from Dissidia when he did a EX BURST) and since LB's are once a fight (two in very long fights) then its just a small thing that is rearly seen.
abilities like Mudra shouldn't use a macro, that dose annoy me when there is spam every 4 seconds or ALION EDGE (someone had that and i got to know when he did every single combo=3=) complete with <se.noise>
so like i said flavour text is fine if it is on skills that are important aka rasiing or skills that can warn others not to waste theres, eye for an eye and virus. (to that guy i saw eariler who said 'you can see the effect' no you can't not when your busy dealing with mechanics.)
but if it is a party you don't know, avoid the 'spammy' flavour text.
I get annoyed by those macros tbh and could do w/o them being spammed by ppl for every single freaking skill they use.
Macros at the start of a dungeon or between pulls? Sure, I've seen a lot of funny ones that can add a bit of humor to a run.
Silly/RP macros for abilities that need to be broadcasted to the party (Raise, Provoke, Virus, Hallowed Ground, etc.)? No problem there either; those are things that the healers/tanks need to know about.
Macros attached to random abilities that the rest of the party doesn't need to know you're doing? Keep those to when you're running with friends, please. I'd be annoyed too if I got stuck in an instance with someone who did that.
It is a Bleach reference.

Op, teach these tanks and "elite" players they have no right to control you. ;) keep doing your macros please :)
Unless it's being spammed with every attack, I don't really care about people adding flavor to their attacks. I could understand if you're learning a dungeon or something and they want the chat open for communication, but for the most part I don't really see a problem with it. I've been in a few groups where everyone chats and talks, but for the most part, it's silence. I keep FC and party chat in separate windows myself, so it doesn't get too crowded. But humans tend to get annoyed over the most asinine things, so it doesn't surprise me that someone gets angry over this. Sounded like he was less bothered by the actual text than he was by the fact that it Naruto-like. To me, that just makes him a jerk because it's not really a valid reason to kick someone.
lo
He was doing gods work
Justified kick, imo.
Whenever I see those goddamn ***** with their weeabo anime macros, they're getting kicked, no exceptions.
Gawd they're annoying.
>_> I left a party (I was healer that time) because one DPS keeped using stupid macros WITH Annoying sounds every 5-10seconds!
I said multiple time "please stop" that guy didnt I left dungeon and did something else <.<
I would be really surprised if anything came from reporting him. It takes at least 2 people to kick so you were annoying at least one other.
he says "something party kick no jutsu."
he says "something party kick no jutsu."
he says "something party kick no jutsu."
he says "something party kick no jutsu."
he says "something party kick no jutsu."
S-sorry i can't stop laughing ... im such a bad kitty but that guy seriously trolled you so hard.
