Oh the irony. Many people including myself have gave reasons why the lockout is there, yet you selfishly only insist that the game should be changed to only benefit one group of players and disregard how it will affect the meta. Again, this is a forum with free speech and I will post what I like, seeing that you keep making extremely bad justifications. You can choose to not read it if you like.

In case this isn't already blatantly obvious, everything in this game outside coil and some ex primals already do so. What you mean to say that you want the game ONLY to cater to casuals.

I am not gonna bother explaining it to you any more. Your wasting my time. The main point of this thread is to make an alternate solution for lock outs. You want it kept the way it is, which is bad. It means not everyone can do it.

The way I want it, is everyone can do it, but still have restrictions that have already been used in several different ways.

If you want to make more points about why it shouldn't be done, then I suggest you make you own thread, and see how many actually support your idea. While this thread is used for alternative solutions to make Events such as Coil and things to come after, accessible for everyone to do with a different approach than making a static for 1 day a week.

Coil is the only piece of relevant top tier content in game made for people willing to face the challenge. YoshiP in many occasions said he believe the best gear in game is not for everyone, if you want the best you have to work for it. We have the entire game more or less open for you to spam it's activities as many times you want, and that also includes the old first coil. Soon the second coil will be open to be spammed so you can help all your friends and their families to gear up all their characters but while it's the current content, coil, or whatever will be the next raid, should remain with lockouts.

Now from a personal point of view... this ikdea of make coil with same lockout style as St is dumb. I don't wanna lose my right to eventually win loot for an alt class because someone else have crap schedulles. I wake up every day at 5am to go to work, have only one raid night a week, sometimes one of us even get late because of work and still we manage to finish coil. I dont wanna get screwed because the majority of this community can't even kill the EX primal, least find 7 other players with enough skill to kill four bosses.

We are in the same boat. We both have to wait for the content to be out dated for free lot when ever we want. The developers answered a question that enough people have commented about for them to pay attention to which is why it was in the Q and A. They want to change it, but can't figure out a way.

One week lock doesn't really affect you now, than it will with one week lot. Cause it's still a week for one of the things. You could do coil one day and get nothing you want, now you have to wait a whole week for reset. Versus the week lot, which you can do coil at any time of the day, and lot on the item when it shows up.

The problem I see with the weekly lockout thing is that with only allowing players to run it once a week period, most of the players in the game don't acquire enough experience in the encounters to become proficient at them, and thus most players fail at the content, and thus most players feel that its only possible to do the encounters in a static, and thus most players can't schedule their lives around a game, and thus most players will simply never experience the content.

There's nothing wrong with allowing players to experience content. The 1 week lockout has literally made it impossible for someone like me in Alaska to even really try. What a great system.

It can also cause problems for statics when, say, someone in the group is suddenly promoted at their job and given a new work schedule that makes it impossible for them raid on certain times of the day and then when they can play, someone else can't play for one reason or another.
