Yes, but the claim was "easy mode all the maps with the titan egi." Some are challenging even for an lolsummoner.
Especially when I "away" instead of "sic".

Why is this thread still going?
OP if you're still reading this nonsense please update the OP to say you were wrong, then maybe we can finally put this to rest.
Given that the thread was regarding an alexandrite map mob (all of which actually are intended to be soloable if you know how), I'm pretty sure those are the types of maps that the comment was referring to.Quote:

Definitely unfair. I just lost a map from this stupid encounter. Being a bard, there's no way to stun that mfker and the encounter time is so bloody short that it doesn't warrant a reattempt. Heck, I got my friend to come resurrect me but by time she arrives the time was already up. Totally bullshit encounter which is unfair for Bards.
you can silence it, as mentioned 20 times in this thread before
next time you wont lose
I tried it once it was awful!
Next time i get this I'm not going as BRD, but as SMN or something :) or just take one of my fc mates to help me <o<
Wish I'd seen this thread before losing my map due to me taking too long to deal with the swarms of adds that the cyclops calls. Cyclops trap is the only trap that caught me completely by surprise and was quite unprepared for it. I'll have to try that approach next time and save my raging strikes for when the adds pop up instead of going all out on the cyclops from the start.
I'll have to start thinking about bringing help along too
It's always been silenceable, but only from this one particular morbol. Bad Breath is normally used as an ability ("The morbol readies Bad Breath"), but from this specific morbol, it is used as a spell ("The morbol menace starts casting Bad Breath"), allowing it to be silenced.Quote:
They made it silence-able? didn't knew that. Thanks for the heads up
This is a very old thread, but in the first post, you say BLMs need to Physick spam to survive? Nope, Sleep works.
Solution?
Kill morbol before he cast the breath.
Bring a friend. Problem solved.
Uhh, that's probably not going to happen if you're solo, unless you're a really overgeared dps.Quote:

I admittedly didn't read this entire thread because it was too long but to the OP, I'm pretty sure you can silence bad breath with blunt arrow, which is the only thing that makes this map annoying.
Hi, I'm gonna respond to this thread from June 2014 thinking its a brand new topic:
omg u can sylenc malboro's bad bread nob.
why this old thread still up? I tho it's already obvious. lol
The best part is people are all like "omg really? SE needs to fix this soon!"
The trick to the Cyclops is to stop damaging him ASAP when the adds spawn so you can kill one wave at a time, and stay near him unless there is an AOE up so you can avoid Eye of the Beholder. All add spawns for these maps are based on boss HP. Take it easy on the boss, you don't get overwhelmed.
It's an old thread but knowledge is power and all that.
Omg the people responding to the OP still when this was posted June of last year LOL Wow people just wow.
Well... there are ppl that's always bored. lol
I have done this on my Bard a couple of times with the a healer chocobo and have never really had a problem with a death. but i do understand the fact that every other class has a some what way of avoiding or dealing with the breath effect that the bard doesnt. people say to do it on another class......BUT U SHOULD'T HAVE TO.
