I insulted one guy, because he told me he only plays for the "reward" and doesn't care about anything else. He spams enter/X through the text and only wants what's at the end. That's annoying and ruins stuff, a game shouldn't be designed around that. If you ONLY design around that, it alienates one type of the population, if you do it the normal way both players get what they want. The "reward only" people get the reward, eventually, and the people who want a story, as challenge, a puzzle, w/e, get what they want as well. Win/win situation.
