Oh one last thing..this one is a long shot. Do you have more than one network adapter in your computer? Sometimes they can conflict and cause odd problems. If by chance you do, disable the inactive one and see if that does anything.

Um if you are running Windows 7 go to the control panel and then the network and sharing center. Then click change adapter settings. What do you have listed here?
